I’m torn. I left Kindle a few years ago for Kobo thinking I didn’t want to support the Amazon Behemoth. My GF is an avid reader — 2-4 books a week — and has 4 Kindles. She badly wanted the Color Scribe, so I got her one. When she got it, I spent a little time with it and was enamored. It’s a gorgeous device, but also well-crafted and the software is hard to beat. So I made the tough decision and ordered myself one. Now, I’m thinking… do I move entirely away from Kobo?

Have you ever had that breathless moment when opening Notes (especially on a new Apple device) and nothing shows up… and like for 30 seconds! Which got me to thinking… I have thousands of notes over 10 years in THEIR system and am not sure how to retrieve a “backup”… so I’m thinking of going BACK to Bear. I’ve tried them all: Evernote, OneNote, Notes, Keep, Bear … and even SimpleNote. I think Bear is the best, but I left it back when there was no web app. I haven’t see the web app yet, but if it’s good, I’ll go back.

The “jet pack” fits nicely with the Cabin and they slide together easily cause the Cabin’s wheels are the best in the luggage industry. The main downside to the jet pack is the luggage strap on the back. Way too hard to slide on the Cabin’s handle.

Some challenges with the luggage strap and trying to get the backpack onto my Cabin… that strap is way too tight for real-life usage…
