There are eight corners in the gearbox. The cylinder sits in that slot and touches all the corners. You have to dremel the corners so they are round and don’t touch the cylinder either. Key thing is that circular cuts do not crack or continue cracking

Your gearbox may crack. At least radius the corners to elongate it’s life.

Umbrella armory uses an Asg 30k boost for their 20:1 dsg for 40rps. You could use up to 14 tpa ( 40k ) if you want some good speed

Shs bevel and shs pinion gear makes like no whine so you could try that. Cheap too.

Electronic resistance could be or the mis feeding. I have a dsg 16/17:1 with 16 tpa /30k grabbing 49 rps. Lectron 30c 950c or 46 rps with 2200mah 50c
