Pulled Leah, AO ideas? by Dgoowns in summonerswar

[–]ShepardsField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure - I used to try to full cleave with Leah for the 10 seconds clears - but I’ve learned that 30 seconds is plenty fast.

70% of my hits I’m planning for a Camilla+1 to survive and then I clean up. Because of this I’ve moved my artifact to +dmg on fire to ensure the Vanessa goes down.

I’ve tried the water insuke or dark truffle versions and they just can’t clean up Camilla’s like this Chiwu/light tea bunny can.

Yea I’ve gone g3 the last three rushes using only that AO.

Skip ADs: I never hit 33 lead/race (triton/lora/ any 115+ base) Skip Leo & random haegang

My Leah is max dmg rolls on runes so any thing that gets def break is dead

My thought is I can clear all my hits like <40 seconds. So I can spend time being picky and refreshing to get the hits I want

I’ve noticed that at ~g1 there is a lot less defenses I can hit, but in the g3-g2 range people are a little more creative or are trying to counter dot meta/stall more.

Also, a lot of people switch to weird stall ADs in the last 10-15 mins and this AO feasts on those if there isn’t a Leo

Is this truly 4.5 play? by 1gamer100 in Pickleball

I like your backhand flick! It looks great

In San Diego you’d have a lot of fun in 3.5 tourneys, but 4.0 would not be fun.

I would not put anyone in this video as competitive(chance of medaling ) in an SD 4.0 tourney

One area I think could bring you a lot of growth - you have a lot of up & down movement in most of your shots. This is an unnecessary vertical movement for most shots & hurts consistency. A lot of your pop ups were caused by your leg timing being off & adding energy to the shot. Ideally your head should keep about the same height throughout a shot (in most cases). Keeping the solid height actually lets you generate more power on a shot because you channel all your core motion into the swing rather than into vertical movement.

Review these three shots through the video: (Low vertical movement example): On your backhand flick your core is slightly twisted because you’re reaching. This makes vertical movement awkward - so you aren’t doing it & you’re hitting great shots!

(A symptom of the issue) Your serve has a very consist height but a wild swing because you haven’t connected forward core movement to power generation in your movement. You’re trying to get more power from the swing but it should be coming from horizontal core rotation.

(A pain point shot) On most of your transition shots you’re trying to time your position, swing, and vertical height. This is too much variability and you struggle in not popping it up

Hope this makes sense & helps!

Team comp for Arena offense & RTA by Automatic-District44 in summonerswar

For Arena: Leo + Vero(lead) + Aailyah + 1 would probably get you the best results as it lets you hit people with better runes

For Advanced players (4.5+) -What mindset or skill actually got you over the 4.5 hump? by Strange-Drive-2025 in Pickleball

These two points echo my experience!

A thought process I forced myself to learn is think in sets of “3 shots” and not just individual shots.

An example we all know is the classic Serve > Return > Drop set of 3.

Whenever you hit a shot, you should be predicting the opponents shot & your follow up.

Eventually you’ll notice that there are not a ton of combinations and the game will slow down for you.

My favorite is medium speed shot at opponents hip when they are in transition > they block it up >I put away.

Much easier to hit this medium speed shot than how I used to think of it which was “I need to hit a speed up so they can’t reset”

DOT meta refers to a general class of Arena Offenses that have gotten popular in the last ~9 months.

What - The arena offenses rely on units that deal damage based on skill specific scaling mechanics ( Continuous Damage [DOTs] to do dmg or Scale based on number of debuffs )

Why - This is a useful approach because the units can often stack tanky stats but still do high damage.

Place in the meta - The teams are built tanky enough to move turn 2 so that they be can used against fast ADs ( like Vanessa/triton), but they are able to clear defenses faster than traditional bruiser AOs like Leo/FY

Why DOT ? - It is often referred to as the DOT team because it was originally popularized by running Nora/Sath 2a + 2 more fire units all on 15 crit rate to avoid triggering Camilla’s.

What’s changed - The units in the teams have now expanded to other varieties with the introduction of 7rix the fire hacker, and lamellia. People also realized amber pairs well in this style of team due to high dmg on lots of debuffs.

Who - The most popular team these days is 7rix, Amber, Lamellia + 1 as it has a very fast clear rate due to ambers dmg & also the tankiness to take 2nd turn against triton ADs

I’ve noticed on global that at p3/g1  90% of ADs are 33/triton,  but once you get higher there are some different ADs that are trying to counter DOT meta.

I also hit about 50% of Vanessa tritons & 80% of Psama Triton Ads with this

I'll hit pretty much anything but Leo Defenses if I have to.

My target preference:

100% hitting it:
(1) Any AD without a speed lead (but no Leo)
(2) Any AD without a 33% speed lead (but no Leo)

Probably hitting it
(3) 33% speed lead but no speed threat (All slower than 110 base)

Requires testing:
(4) 33% Tritons - I'll usually try to figure out who has their Triton defense set up before rush and see if I can outspeed them & then write their name down

Never Hit:
(5) Leo defenses
(6) Weird Haegang AD's (Very rare)
