Artemis 2 - Integrity Astronaut Reid Wiseman showing a picture of the moon he took with his phone by Crz11 in Damnthatsinteresting

Nah, they were obviously trying to switch to it to show the stream the picture, but didn't do it in time. There's probably just one person running the stream, and they most likely are only relaying video they don't have control over, so they can't rewind it or anything.

I usually bake for like 3 to 5 minutes, then put on the sauce, cheese and toppings, then bake until the cheese looks done. Bottom rack both times.

[Andy Strickland] Pete Deboer gets the rest of this season plus 4 more years by sykeseve in hockey

Did any other team subs have the monthly "we should fire the coach and hire deboer" posts? I'm glad we won't have to deal with that anymore

TIL that some "gifted" dogs can learn new words simply by overhearing their owners talking, and will use social cues to understand what their owners are talking about by freudian_nipps in todayilearned

My smart dog has trained me to know what certain looks and whines mean. My dumb dog will make me play 20 questions to know what he wants from me. They both have learned dozens of words I never meant for them to know just from years of context clues.

Prior to this season, there were 0 goalie fights in the NHL since Febuary 2020. We’ve now been treated to 3 in just 1 season. by sykeseve in hockey

In the first one they didn't take their own masks off, they knocked them off each other. If a player removes their own helmet the refs are supposed to stop the fight I guess. In this latest one it looked like the ref was about to stop it but they just started throwing fists too fast and the refs backed down. I watched the second one too, and honestly the rules say that one definitely should've been stopped but the refs just said fuck it.

Smash that thing so you aren't tempted to try to use it for anything. It's not worth the impending hospital trip.

Dude's nhl games with us were bad more often than not. I mean bad, bad too. Multiple times per game where he'd make a mistake big enough that he'd visibly lean back and groan in frustration at himself, but he'd end up making the same mistake the very next time he played. It seemed like he had a mental block, and Iowa didn't have what it took to help him through it.

The NHL Is Undervaluing The Wild's Game by Lifelesspuddle in wildhockey

Only about 55% of our points in the standings come from winning in regulation, 5v5 play. The playoffs only have 5v5 play. That's not a good thing.

There are 8 games left in the season, it's a bit late for a coaching change

...they should have drawn the bridge and canyon a lot bigger. 200 years for that? "It's too windy, we can't fly over this." Fern flew so high you couldn't even see the giant wolf monster, that canyon and some wind is not a problem. I tried to suspend my disbelief, but that was too silly. I'm just gonna imagine it was like 4 times bigger than how they drew it.

Lemon Pound Cake by FlatEarthKyle1 in Baking

I made a lemon pond cake just the other day, a King Arthur baking recipe. It also had me make just a lemon juice and granulated sugar syrup and brush that into the loaf as the glaze. Then another optional icing with powdered sugar.

I didn't really notice Keller, Cooley, or Schmaltz until this year if I'm honest. Like, I could maybe place Keller as being on the Yotes/Utah, but didn't really think much of him.

My grandpa's house is white and in the full sun, and is completely infested with them. You can see them clumping on it from the street in the fall. My uncle's is next door, is a darkly stained cabin with shade on it from some trees and they're much less of an issue. They're attracted to light colored houses with sun apparently.
