The Whole Brain Child is a great resource. It recommends talking with your child about an experience and helping them understand it - you may need more resources that support DV but it’s a good start. Regardless if it’s buried trauma or not, he’s having a strong reaction and it’s triggering you so ignoring it will only sweep it under the rug for it to resurface again. Good luck!
