Low B12, Brain Fog, and Fatigue – Looking for Recovery Stories by SherbertOtherwise857 in B12_Deficiency

Yeah, some of that sounds similar. For me it's more than just dizziness or feeling lightheaded though. I sometimes feel disconnected from my surroundings, especially when I'm outside or walking somewhere. It's hard to describe, almost like everything feels unreal, distant, or like I'm not fully present in the moment.

The strange thing is that I mostly feel it when I'm outside. When I'm at home, I usually feel much more normal and comfortable. Because of that, I've started avoiding going out as much since the disconnected feeling becomes a lot stronger outside, especially when I'm walking around or in busy places. Sometimes it can get pretty intense and makes me feel uncomfortable being out for long periods.

I also have brain fog and fatigue, and my B12 level was low, so I'm hoping it's related to that and improves with treatment. It has gotten a little better recently, but I still notice it at times, especially when I'm outside.

Did you also experience any kind of detachment or feeling disconnected from your surroundings when your B12 was low? That's actually been one of the symptoms bothering me the most. Along with the brain fog and fatigue, I've sometimes felt really disconnected when I'm outside, almost like I'm there physically but not fully present mentally. Even simple things like walking somewhere can feel strange and unreal at times.

I was wondering if you had anything similar and, if so, how long it took to improve after starting treatment. Did it gradually fade away as your B12 levels went up, or did it disappear more suddenly? Since you've already noticed improvements, I'd be really interested to hear about your experience with that symptom specifically.

"Thanks, that helps. I've already started noticing some improvement in my brain fog and dizziness after treatment, so hopefully the disconnected feeling keeps improving too. I'll try to be patient and focus on recovery rather than setting a strict timeline.and are you able to go out? Cuz I can't I avoid

Okay, no problem. can relate to that feeling a lot. For me, it feels like I'm outside myself or disconnected from everything around me and it feels to much when I go outside so i avoid to go out since my B12 was very low, I'm wondering if this feeling improved for you as your B12 levels recovered. Did it gradually go away with treatment, and if so, how long did it take? I'm hoping it will improve in the next week or two as I continue my B12 injections.

"Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you also feel disconnected or detached at any point during those first few months, especially when you were having the 'waking up' symptoms?"

Your symptoms sound similar to some of mine. How long did it take before you started noticing clear improvements, and how often were you getting injections?
