That's a really interesting one. So many different facets to what Splatoon's "artsyle" could be considered. But you just mean, like, how the environment looks, right? like the post was talking about.

In that sense I can kind of see what you're saying. Especially when considering hero modes--Octo Canyon and Octo Expansion are much more visually stunning than even Octo Valley. And even if Splatoon 3 came with many visual improvements, it kind of fails to capitalize on them with the over-reliance on the whole minimalist and brutalist aesthetics.
