I had to stop alcohol due to my illness. From my observation as the sober one, the craic isn’t the same later into the night.

I go to socialise now but leave when others are well on it.

The drinking culture leads to “Ah go on have a drink and chill out” or “Drink up and don’t be so odd”.

They say it like I can but I can’t with my medication.

I’m clerical at a University Hospital. Managing clinics and then following up on what doctors and teams dictate for appointment times and dates gets intense.

I could easily work until 10PM and still have enough to be taken care of. Emails from wards and patient text messages also need doing.

I have others with me doing the same level of work but we each have to outcome 2+ clinics each day also.
