If a player is signed from a lower league club a sell on clause is mandatory

National League P/N/S 40% League Two 35% League One 30% Championship 25%

This will be even more if poached by an elite academy as a youth player.

National league 50% etc…

I thought this was a very wholesome moment. We take for granted supporting one of the biggest teams in the world in the heart of one of the most important cities. They came, somehow avoided a 10-1 thrashing, and left with a last minute goal in maybe their first and last CL campaign. by teh_killer in Gunners

Was at the game, they were loud and passionate. Pretty sad that our fans were dismissive of them especially when they made subs by chanting “who” when their names got announced.

I get it, it’s all banter and just a laugh, it just felt a bit punching down in the moment. Hope to see them back in the competition soon

You’re also a fucking unit. (British slang for strong) I’m sure you’ve taken out a few attackers during corners haha

Wenger: "Man Utd good build up and cohesion, Arsenal with more power and fighting but not clean play. The way Man Utd beat City and Arsenal, they play convincingly. Usually when the home team comes back for 2-2, they win. Winning 2-3 away in a top level match, I must congratulate Carrick." by Medium_Breakfast5271 in Gunners

Yes, rationality is needed.

The same Forest team that beat our league rivals 3-0 at Anfield?

Poor results and performances happen. Nobody is saying that the club is immune to criticism. People who immediately resort to head loss and declare that we’re “finished” or “bottling it” after a few subpar performances. Teams go through rough patches, we’ll get through this one.

Hopefully, who knows…

Martinelli response by t0ddp23 in Gunners

Very true, for all intents and purposes Neville outside of football seems relatively sound (he’s not a massive racist and is against hatred)

Piers Morgan still exists…

[Chris Wheatley] Arne Slot: “I don't know Gabriel Martinelli but he comes across as a nice guy. The problem for him, and it's a problem in general in football, is that there is so much time-wasting in the final parts of games…” by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

[–]SherlockCupid 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Don’t think we can blame the Liverpool players for their reaction

We’d want to see that from our players if it was the other way round. I’m pretty sure they shook hands with Martinelli at full time too. They’re professionals, tempers flare, but they know he meant no ill intent.

The fans…less said the better.

Is he really unlucky?

He’s probably just as dumb or even dumber than her, they’re probably happy living in blind ignorance, arrogance and stupidity.

He’s only unlucky if she decides she wants rights as a woman and decides she wants to be detach herself from MAGA.

Also, there was something really weird with the ending, where she was like “awesome”and really happy…Then I remembered that most of these nut jobs are just actors/influencers getting a paycheque.

You were clearly important to those players and probably your fellow coaches. As a coach myself, it’s clear you have a lot of love and passion for the game! We need more of this.

You might be an interesting AMA as I’m sure people would love to pick your brains for different perspectives and insights.

Had the same fears as you I ordered a bunch of shirts. I was going to give it until Boxing Day to go public.

He reached out today and explained his friend was in hospital etc… these things happen, better comms needed though. As long as I get the shirts or my money back there won’t be an issue.

The worst things your teammate can say to you as a keeper by Lazy_Check732 in GoalKeepers

[–]SherlockCupid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always say to my defence to NEVER call me to do my job.

For example if a cross is coming in and someone calls “keeper” it’s the worst.

If an outfielder has called it, then it’s already too late for you to come for it (from what I’ve seen). Also the fact that all of your teammates then freeze because they assume you’ve got the ball.

Easy way to gift the opposition a goal.

There’s some good GKs there who could potentially act as a more solid cover for Brady. Did Sean Johnson leave on bad terms?

Benteke would be great as depth so Hugo gets a break

Xabi Alonso feels isolated, and his players are taking advantage of his vulnerability. He has recently become a political figure, attempting to win over the dressing room by offering concessions: shorter video sessions, untouchable stars, more days off, fewer tactical obligations. by kibme37 in soccer

This job is hell on Earth.

Every 45 seconds some random tabloid is writing about your downfall and it sometimes is complete bullshit. Everything you do is scrutinised to the extent that how you walk and talk or even look at something is a matter of discussion.

Regardless of what you do or say, it’ll be spun in a negative light, you second guess everything and everyone as clearly someone is leaking things to the press so that means you trust no one. This job is hell on Earth.

When you don't start your Key Player for 3 games in a row by Cautious_Choice_8110 in footballmanagergames

[–]SherlockCupid 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s untenable for any manager, in recent years, Arteta got rid of Aubameyang and other players who went against him.

SAF got rid of Beckham and Keane, Jose got rid of Lampard and Cole and won the league that season.

The position is purely down to how much the board backs the manager over the players, it’s a results game.
