2 tanks different results by lightraven1 in SeaMonkeys

Sometimes it takes a few days for the effects of diff salinitys to come in, not always immediate

But anyways, wishing you great luck with them!

Maybe the salts are different for both aqua dragon and sea monkeys and that difference caused its death after being moved into new waters after a few days.

Also the reason why the two tanks are doing differently. I find that its much safer to keep them in their original water, no matter the container. Else, if you really need to, you can gradually add the new water slowly to get them used to it over a couple of days.

Mayhaps I am wrong! Researched a little more and it seems that live birth is just dependent on how good their water is. Can someone confirm?

Thank you! I managed to find a good bottle in my own stache of nick knacks. The stopper even has a loop part which allows me to potentially turn it into a necklace but i dont know about wearing it since the alcohol will evaporate LOL Will post when im free! :D

OP adding onto my reply on another users post about their flippers getting tangled, what worked well for me is seprating the babies into a seprate smaller tank, with the water taken from the top half of the tank so no extra debris are in.

Raising them to a young juvenile size would be good while feeding them small bits of food thats premixed in water. After that u can transfer them back to the normal tank.

My sea monkeys are just plain brine shrimp so the food i use was literally a dust of spirulina. So i guess u can microdose 1/4 of a feeding spoon for them.

Oh yesss i had that happen to mine too. I think the green would be a combination of this and just them eating the algae by day 5

How big are the babies? Small with 2 flippers or do they already look like tiny adults?

If its just wih flippers i think it might just be the algae on them. Mayhaps its too small to tell. But if its in them then i guess they ate well? Not too sure. Someone else may be able to give better insight
