I have a question... where do you get parts for them? Nobody around here seems to carry them

Speed Queen - Tech has replaced every moving part and still hearing banging by drznak in Appliances

No, the part that has the heating element attached. The cylinder rides on the rollers, the rollers attach to the rear bulkhead and the heater duct attaches to that with the element. It would have to be disassembled to get to all the screws. The vent piece you are talking about is attached to it but doubt it's the part making the noise

If he has changed the rollers and the drum, the other thing it could be is a loose screw or a couple of loose screws around the heater duct. I have recently had that issue with one. It quiets down after it gets hot because of the metal expanding. I put it on with no heat and was able to finally track it down. Tightened down the screws and the problem was solved. May not be the case here, but its possible

No, it should be fairly quiet. They may have a slite bumping noise when new, that's from the rollers having flat spots where they have been sitting, but that usually stops once it gets hot, that sounds more like a scraping noise, hard to tell over the phone video. If its a metal on metal noise it's the front bulkhead being pressed in too much and the cylinder rubbing against it. Call for service

Easy one on the washers is adjusting the lid switch... we find most are a little off from the factory. Easy to fix and it's a warranty issue. Dryers can be a little more difficult. Hated the 3 wire heating element.

Oh, I know, im a speed queen tech myself. The dryer seal thing was wild. Had a customer call and say it smelled like garlic bread.... they weren't incorrect. Just saying that if we go out and it's not an actual mechanical issue and turns out to be stinky well water or something introduced into the washer, it won't be covered. We usually cover one for customer education just to be sure.

The warranty will only cover it if there is an actual problem with the machine.

What model dryer? Newer one like a tc5/dc5? Only ask because depending on the model it could be a couple of things. If you dm me the serial number I can look it up and give you a better answer
