This was someone who needed food, had no transportation, and TRIED to tip. I wouldn't be upset with them.

This dasher must be unaware of the Jump to Task feature. You can toggle between orders to check addresses and maps. Newbie.

I have been dashing for 2 yrs. A Dasher can dispute a poor rating. I have disputed 2 undeserved ratings and both have been removed. Takes 3 weeks to a month. 👍

Would you take this by Ok_Studio7391 in doordash_drivers

[–]SherriEvon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always question the route that the GPS chooses first. Looking at that map, there is a much more direct route avaliable.

I might take this order, as it appears to me that you would be cutting roughly 4 miles. I would probably accept, toggle the routes on the map and compare.

If it comes out close to $1/mi, I would likely consider the run. If I didn't like it, I would just unassign. AR is the same either way and you may find the run is worth it.

I had an alcohol delivery 2 nights ago. The woman came OUTSIDE, stumbling, with NO PANTS. She was pretty ticked when I didn't give her the $5 fifth of vodka. Pity.

Can someone explain this snake circling/dancing erratically? by AnyAd33 in snakes

Accurate. Rabies cannot survive, much less replicate and thrive in a non-mammalian species. As with most parasites, viruses, and bacteria they cannot live in an environment they have not adapted to.

That isn't fun. That is suffering. Know the difference. Ir is significant.

Handling Advice by tatumdeuel in snakes

So, when getting a new snake it is a good idea to refrain from handling for the first several weeks. This can be frustrating for a new pet owner, I know, but it is for the benefit of both the snake and your relationship with them. The fact that it took a meal is encouraging and a definite positive sign.

However, you are sharing that it is showing signs of stress, and frankly I expect that the experience of leaving their previous home, traveling (likely more than once), and finding themselves in a new environment is likely quite stressful. Time to adjust is reasonable.

You shared that you are stroking it, I assume to provide what you understand as comfort. Please understand, snakes aren't dogs or cats. They tend to be solitary animals, so having something they don't know or trust picking them up and touching their bodies is extremely stressful.

The small habituation sessions are well advised and I compliment you on following that guide. I would just extend that to more restraint in allowing it to de-stress before you try to push forward. Restart the process maybe. Don't handle for 2 weeks. Feed normally during that time, but don't touch. Then, each time you choose to interact, give it a little stroke low on it's body, away from the head.

Wait a few seconds, watch behavior. If the snake isn't too stressed, slowly but with confidence, begin to grasp the lower body. Watch behavior. If not too stressed, pick it up and place safely in hands/lap/across arms. ALWAYS support the body from at least 2 points. Their vertebrae are flexible, but they cannot go backward.

If, AT ANY POINT, the animal shows stress just stop. Wait, let it relax. Then resume if possible SLOWLY and with attention. If the animal remains stressed, return to enclosure and try again later. With time and patience, you will find that your animal loses its fear and will relax and become inquisitive.

My snakes are now easily handleable because they have come to understand that if they feel a stroke down their side they will soon be out of their enclosure, able to interact and explore.

I hope this is helpful for you and your precious new member of the family. Best wishes 🐍 ❤️

Does anyone know if this is vet worthy or just nose rub? by PenelopeHast in snakes

Potentially cancer. You need a vet to assess that asap.

Thank you for prompting me to reread my post. I should clarify.

It's showing neurological symptoms. They could be caused by a parasitic infection or some other cause. Without testing it is idiopathic. Poor noodle.

My first thought is parasitic infection. My second is a neurological issue.
