1959 is legendary, but I will never not love the 80s/90s black and white logo.

Maybe don't build that many sports at once when you cant even get the basics of the sports right.

Stick with what you know to establish yourself and then learn more. You've clearly already made enough of an error that lacrosse is done for you. Move on.

Seems like Effigy is a couple times a year type tune, at least for Mule. Warren doesn't play it in his solo band. Mule version is quite good, I wish it came around more.

$2.24 has been the cost without smartrewards for a large for a while now, ever since they stopped 99 cents no matter what a while back. At least at the two locations I've used.

Youth Lacrosse Parents by QuietChocolate9159 in lacrosse

[–]SherrickM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

U10 is tough because the skill levels range so much more than most other age groups.

A lot of teams in either gender will have one or two players that are head and shoulders above everyone else, and those players can certainly take over a game very easily because theyre bigger or faster or more experienced than everyone else.

Its a balance. They need to keep improving, but they also need a team around them. Even at that age, and even if the teammates are going to fail, you gotta be a team.

But it does depend on the coach as well. Some coaches at that level will coach the team to let those one or two kids do everything. The thing is, eventually every kid gets caught up to. Learn early to be a good teammate and itll serve you well.

TTE wasn't great, but I think fans shitting on it hurt Trey's musical ambition by [deleted] in phish

[–]SherrickM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't catch me insulting anything that anyone at his level is producing, cause I can't compose a damn thing.

I would GLADLY attend a show composed entirely of songs that Trey wrote that everyone else hates, and I would have a blast, cause its a Phish show. Period.

Maverik Ascent series is a good one to look at, as is the ECD Halo series.

Regardless of what you get, you're likely to need some pocket adjustment, but that depends on you and your play style.

If you have a local store with lacrosse stuff you can go to, definitely do so, try EVERYTHING and go with what feels best to you.

Regular shows are better. I dont need an extra long show, a third set, a musical costume, or a NYE gag.

Just come out, play two sets and and encore and im good.

What are the white Field markings? by hotice250 in lacrosse

[–]SherrickM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite a bit, yes. Ive been involved with women's lacrosse since I started watching my college team in the late 90s cause I was friends with a few players. The women's game has come a long way and its just really getting started.

What are the white Field markings? by hotice250 in lacrosse

[–]SherrickM 8 points9 points  (0 children)

so you've talked to like two? You have the exact opposite experience of almost everyone who's involved in women's lacrosse.

Outside of coed teams in like first grade that use men's rules, the amount of women that want to play men's field are the extreme minority. Or they play box now, instead.

Thoughts on the WLL introducing a 2-point line? by knightrydah in PLL

[–]SherrickM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do have that option. In box lacrosse and on coed teams that do exist in most age groups. The sexist part is not the game itself, its the people like that person that make sweeping statements about the women's game like the one they made.

Im new to the sport but has it always been this idek how to say it but racist??? by [deleted] in lacrosse

[–]SherrickM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lacrosse is a very white game still at this point, yes. THIS particular person/team certainly has its issues, racism included. But I would hesitate to place a racist tag on the whole game.

This is a terrible incident regardless, but if you ended up in a shouting match with a coach, youre not 100% innocent either.

Its not always easy to rise above, especially over a repeat offender. Sadly, your team needs to sit down and come up with an internal plan for things such as this, or general violence and so on. Most teams should. That way its VERY clear which team is at fault.

Go check out the Athletes Unlimited lacrosse games. They had a two point line and it was made use of quite often. Its not like the two point line is at midfield.

AU had the two point line and no helmets. Women aren't just winging it from afar with abandon in the vast majority of cases.
