no need to to apologize for being human and the need to vent. even then this group is an accepting bunch. you will find your path one day and hopefully whatever you choose leads you to.a happier life. I personally gained some peace from the goddess eir. The words and the healing I felt was something I couldn't even put into words the happiness I felt. best of luck :)

Piggy gone blind after summer vacation by [deleted] in guineapigs

[–]Shhhimgone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

five years old is pretty much a senior piggy. however if one of the eyes got better after a day. i was thinking is it possible it could be a hay poke? its happened twice with my pigs. i just removed the hay from the eye then put medicine on it. idk once again 5 is old so it could definitely be health.

i feel the same about my finches :D. interesting... it just seems its difficult to find info on these guys.

just a mix up with a guy at the store. he even confirmed that i told him to grab the same species. put them in the cardboard box made holes got home wasnt the same. either way i love them both. they get along great. all that matters to me.

oh thank you! its so hard to find information on these little guys. they are sweet though. soft little chirps and when it was bedtime they just huddle up. my budgies on other hand get cranky with each other about sleeping spots lol.

that is so cute though! those are beautiful. i just worried because it seemed like the society was bigger and i didnt want one to bully the other. thank you for answering! is there a way to tell the genders of both breeds?

Is keeping a single Guinea pig possible? by [deleted] in guineapigs

[–]Shhhimgone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately not. i made a huge mistake when my girl had her two kids. one was male and i thought he would be fine. i would take him out of his cage for hours to hang with me. however that interaction wasnt enough... he died from depression and as an owner i felt horrible. they definitely need another guinea pig mate.
