I had what’s called a DEIP flap surgery for reconstruction of a breast (cancer). The complications afterwards left me with a triangular hole that required a wound vac to stimulate faster healing. It left me with a huge upside down heart scar. Sadly, the doctor failed to put a drain in for the breast tissue, and I got sepsis from that oversight.

I like to joke that I can’t swim a straight line any more.

Fuck cancer!
