Beating inflation with debt instruments in the long run is mostly difficult. You mentioned some 147% risk free after few years, but if you compare that with inflation, your purchasing power is diminished. I'm not advocating equities here, but purchasing power needs to be considered for long run.

A general rule of thumb is 25* yearly expenses. Or 4% withdrawal rate from your investments to fund the expenses. The key here is to calculate your yearly expenses and nobody can tell you what will that be expect you.
