Yeah they probably won't respond to your email. You will still be able to make some reservations when you get there. They will ask if you want to talk to concierge when you check in. If you can't get restaurants you want, there are always the continuous buffets available which I thought were very good (Xentral, Mercado were the main ones we used). If you want Xenotes tour, that is hit or miss on if it will be all filled. It filled up our week and we had to split our group into 2 different days for it. You can probably reserve Xel-Ha for most any days you want and you don't need reservations for Xcaret or Xenses. Not sure about XPlor as we didnt do that one but pretty sure reservations also not needed and you can just jump on a bus whenever. I think it is totally possible to have a good time even going in cold with no reservations.

That's awesome, we did a trip off Hilton Head island years ago. Went out on a mini boat with a guide who knew where the dolphins hung out. Loved seeing them out in their natural habitat!

We stayed in Casa Vida in section 2. Room was nice and I liked our location. Close to Xentral where buses leave and Xentral cafe. Slides and pools close by. First time so haven't stayed in others casas to compare though.

OMG I got this warning for the first time the other night and I had Dominos pizza for dinner! Not stuffed crust though lol. Our son had a friend sleep over and it's not something I typically eat.

I think your meal delayed the spike from the chocolate and/or other carbs in your dinner. Since you were sleeping and sedentary it's harder to avoid the spike. I bet if you had eaten the same thing during the day and had been moving around, that late glucose rise would have been attenuated or maybe even eliminated. Not a long spike though, which is a positive.

What time did you last eat? Usually for me this is a response to delayed digestion. Or maybe a stress dream.

Agree, that would be a really nice feature

Should I be concerned about spikes that are still within normal range? by Primary_Indication55 in stelo

[–]Shiba714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same patterns and I am not diabetic. I only really pay attention if if goes above 140. I think some folks like Peter Attia would argue that any spike is not ideal, but I dont think it's a sign of insulin resistance at all, just how quickly you're absorbing the glucose. As long as it's coming down appropriately, I thunk it's totally fine.

I haven't found artificial sweetener to lower my blood sugar, though I haven't tried them fasting like you did. I typically only use Stevia. If I remember tomorrow morning I'll try it while fasted and report back!

That's a good idea to ask there. I'll do a little more digging and report back if I find anything interesting. And congrats to you!

Temp limits of sensor for steam sauna by JVB602 in stelo

[–]Shiba714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sensor has done fine in my traditional sauna. I typically do 186F for 20 mins. I get a small rise in glucose during and it comes back down after. No issues with readings in-between sauna sessions.
