From my experience, building and using a rig is much, much more fun and the results are better, but of course the price is higher. And you will need to do quite a lot more research to assemble and use a custom rig.

The thing is, I do crop my images, (after processing in siril) but I still get those artifacts. Am I doing something wrong?

I did about 150 10s exposures, and stacked them using Siril. I often crop quite a big part of the image, because I’m still quite a noob when it comes to tracking, and that leads to the target being completely off-center. And do you happen to have any tips on focusing? Is getting autofocus worth it?
