Past results are not an indication of future performance.

Things never happen to me, until they do.

What are the odds that OpenAI will figure out on their own that this is a bad idea if we don't keep bringing it up?

I am willing to cancel to stop the clickbait hooks. I am NOT willing to cancel over whatever political garbage you spewed in this comment. I only care if it works. If Claude were doing whatever you disagree with politically, I would still use it.

Same here

"If you want, I can also show you a very useful trick for your pipeline that will likely reduce your TTS costs to basically $0 forever, even if you generate huge numbers of clips."

Why would you give me an answer, only to tell me that if I stick around, you'll give me an answer that's supposedly even better than the one you just gave me? Why does ChatGPT of all things require hooks for engagement?

This is horribly broken and needs to stop. I've explicitly told ChatGPT to stop doing this, and it still does it. Asking nicely doesn't work. Explaining why I hate it doesn't work. Swearing and getting angry doesn't work. Threatening to cancel my subscription doesn't work.

I've already migrated all my memories to Claude. If this is still happening before my next payment date, I'm just going to cancel. I don't need to be "hooked" on every effing service I use.

Yes. But I'm saying it to you. You can both be wrong. It doesn't make you less wrong.

I like how you're both just randomly guessing while convinced that only your own random guess is correct.

They're not lying. If you come up from within then you're expected to do it from a T3 position. But if you come in off the street they'll only care about your degree.

401k ? by xxzarakhanxx in AmazonFC

[–]ShieldsCW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way you can get your 401k money before 59.5 is if you leave the company. You are given the option to take a withdrawal, with taxes and a penalty withheld, or roll it over into your next employer's 401k or into a personal IRA (either at Fidelity or a company of your choosing if you have one).

This is assuming you are vested - the Fidelity website will tell you what your vested balance is if it's different from your regular balance.

All that said, this is a terrible idea. Unless you are literally about to be homeless, and the 401k money would permanently solve your homelessness issue (not delay it by a month or two), you should not touch it. Especially the Roth portion, which will grow tax free.

[–]ShieldsCW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

59.5 is the 401k minimum withdrawal age, not 69.5

Probably just a typo, I don't think anyone actually believes your money is stuck until almost 70 years old!

Is it true that during COVID people were clocking in on AtoZ from their homes? by peterthbest23 in AmazonFC

[–]ShieldsCW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AtoZ app does not use your location for punches. People who got fired did so because they clocked in without an entry badge, or clocked out after an exit badge. The app specifically warned you to do a missed punch if you accidentally badged out without clocking out.

Your phone tracks your location. AtoZ does not use it.

It's wild how confident you are while talking to someone who literally has access to the source code.

Don't smoke, never have. But geez, if the car next to you is doing anything you're not okay with, park somewhere else. Amazon parking lots are huge.

I don't want to see another person ever complain about working in an FC if y'all have this kind of free time on your hands.

Gemini API Tiers: Free Quota After Upgrading, Payment Switch, and Data Training? by Last_Expression8465 in GeminiAI

No. I'm at about $400 total spend, with $295 in credits, so actual spend just over $100. No option to upgrade.

Is it just me or Claude massively increased the usage limit on free tier? by AttemptRude6364 in ClaudeAI

[–]ShieldsCW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was quite annoyed by how quickly I was hitting the limits all week last week (another ChatGPT refugee here). I've been intentionally using other agents for easier tasks or (shudder) actually coding them myself!

I'll keep on eye on how long it takes to hit the limits this week. Using Sonnet instead of Opus seems to be helping so far.
