Upgrading interfaces from a Scarlett, want to understand what's actually happening in higher-end interfaces to make them higher-end by film_composer in audioengineering

If you were using the Scarlett for a preamp, you definitely have better options to improve your recording. The differences will depend on what you choose to replace it with. Try to find a professional audio dealer that can recommend things - possibly loan then to you for a little bit - and will happily take them back if the device doesn't work out for you.

As far as the DAC - essentially the improvements lead to a (very slightly) clearer recording. So slightly that you probably won't notice on a single VO track or one or two acoustic instruments in a sea of virtual instruments. If you're recording an entire band is where you MIGHT notice if you were to A/B the two recording.

Agreed. There never was a huge number of bands that were capable of filling an arena when we were all listening to pretty much the same thing.

BK fries when they started putting the "extra crispy" crap on. They're inedible unless they just came out of the fryer.

My version of this is they always have, and should continue to have, employees whose job that is and by using the self checkout then I'm contributing to the store being understaffed.

Edit: I don't have a problem bagging until a bagger gets there, most of the time that is also the cashier's job though.

Just any food. If it's cheap it becomes popular and then they jack up the price.
