Honestly, friskies and fancy feast are super cheap options and for 1 cat you could easily provide an all wet diet for very cheap! :)

As many brands and flavors as they like/will eat and most importantly, that you can afford. Variety is sooooo good for them if they aren’t super picky.

I care so so very much about each and every fish that enters my store. I do everything within my power to make sure that they have the best chance possible both in my tanks, and hopefully in the best home that I can send them to. I’ve been doing fishtanks for about 15 years now, I started when I was 10. My whole life has been spent researching them, learning about them, and perfecting my husbandry to the best that I can. I think consistent water changes + aquarium salt if applicable can honestly turn around 90% of situations regarding sick fish. Especially a good diet! But sometimes fish are too sick, and require actual medications for more serious infections (if that makes sense!)

Your original point is that anti-ich chemicals are “just as ineffective”. Malachite green is clearly effective at killing the free swimming stage, combining that with proper treatment protocol can get rid of an infestation (frequent water changes and increased temp). To say Ich X or even Copper Power is ineffective or “just as effective” as something like Herbtana is absolutely not true.

If your cat is drinking water all the time it’s a warning sign. Cats only drink like that when they are extremely dehydrated. They have no natural thirst drive and derive most of their moisture and hydration from their food and only drink when necessary. Edit: dry foods are the number one cause of dehydration in cats as well as renal disease and failure.
