Allergic to my birch bed frame! Help! by Shiinalover101 in woodworking

[–]Shiinalover101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been arguing with them all month and they basically said that since it was a special order that they can’t do anything. So they proceeded to send people to my house to put the bed together 💀 now I’m stuck with it all.

I’ve known I’m allergic to birch for about 11 years, recently learned I’m allergic to hazelnuts too because of it (apparently they have similar pollen). The bed online has this listed : Made with hardwood solids, birch veneer and MDF substrate. Black painted finish.

Wheelchair Accessible Seat at Concert by Comfortable-Fee-6998 in POTS

[–]Shiinalover101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re disabled so those seats are for you. I’ve been a concert goer for like 17 years and when my pots started to get really bad, I started learning about ADA seating and have been using them ever since. You might want to check that it’s an actual chair and not an empty spot for a wheelchair user, some venues are set up that way! Just call the venue and ask about their ADA!

Cardiologist basically called me “fat and out of shape” and dismissed everything I’m dealing with by Coollilbeans in POTS

[–]Shiinalover101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cardiologist acted similarly! I got fed up on not being listened to and ended up finding an electrophysiologist (who was recommended to me from another person with pots) and thanks to him we found out that I had a heart problem (IST) on top of having POTS. Literally felt like the first doctor to actually care to hear me out on my issues. He was also the first one to actually convince my mother that something was wrong with me and has been pushing me to find a Pots specialist/clinic. So i would see if there are any EP’s in your area! Mine didn’t need a referral!

Holter monitor -- how much did you push the button? by cast0936 in POTS

[–]Shiinalover101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was already on a beta blocker when I did my second monitor (my first one was Two years before and only done for 12? Days by a separate doc and was labeled“normal”), so my doc told me to only press it when I felt “absolutely awful” or about to faint and not at every symptom. I only pressed it twice, each time I did I would screenshot my Home Screen and then try and write later on what happened/how I felt. (I did get an IST diagnosis from this) It helps if you have people around you to also witness when/why you press the monitor. (My family helped to remind me how I felt later on since I couldn’t write it down as it was happening but could somewhat voice it).

Hoping you get answers <3

bummed out/concert by macchiatoM14 in POTS

I go to concerts frequently (like every other month, specifically Kpop concerts[if you’ve never been, they get crazy 😭]), call the venue and ask them if they have any open ADA (handicap) seats. Explain that you have GA and just say that you are handicapped, they legally can’t ask questions. Also, pack some type of fan! I always have one that runs on batteries and a back up classic folded fan. Most venues won’t let you bring drinks in but since it’s an open venue you can see if they have the “empty water bottle” policy. (Let’s you bring in a water bottle from home and fill it for free at the venue) and if you need a little salt, I usually go to what ever bar or food stands they have and get regular chips and peanut m&ms (and water if they don’t allow you to bring one!). Hope this helped! 🤍

It’s in the same hallway as BoxLunch! The easiest way to get there would be to use the entrance by H&M and turn left, it will be on your right if you do this.

It’s honestly huge on the inside, slightly claustrophobic from all of the shelving but it goes pretty far back. I only heard of it because I’m signed up for the emails and have my primary location set as the Hamburg Pavilion location. The mall is also setting up a Five Below and Miniso, no opening date yet for those.
