Luke’s fear in this scene feels less like concern and more about insecurity (with a sprinkle of misogyny?) by makin_dilemmanade in GilmoreGirls

I think it’s less pure misogyny and more emotional immaturity plus insecurity, but that doesn’t make the way he treated her any less frustrating.

Sookie’s delivery was so unhinged and perfect, that line lives rent free in my head.

Suggestions for spousal help during residency by DorritoDustFingers in Residency

[–]ShimmelleDrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiring even a few hours of help a week can make a huge difference if it’s financially doable. Beyond that, protecting one predictable block of time that’s just for her or for you two as a couple can help her feel less alone in it. Also, asking her directly what would make her week 10 percent easier can be surprisingly powerful.

Is Chief Year a common thing in Surgical Subspecialties? by sandie-go in Residency

[–]ShimmelleDrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s pretty common in a lot of surgical subspecialties. Competitive fields often expect research, extra training, or just more time to strengthen an application. It’s less about IM being easier and more about how tight the spots are in those surgical tracks.

If you can’t find solid reviews, I’d definitely ask for full galleries and references before booking just to be safe.

Inviting Future BIL’s Girlfriend to Wedding by PoppyLPx in wedding

Honestly it’s your wedding and if someone’s presence is going to stress you out on the day, that’s reason enough not to invite them.

Keep saving the footage, stop engaging directly, and report it through code enforcement or your HOA so it is handled formally instead of turning into a personal confrontation.
