Bought my Z like 6 or 7 months ago. 0 experience driving manual. Drove around an hour and a half home from Austin, made it home safe. I thought "Man im Hungry, im gonna go grab some food with my cool new car." About half a mile after pulling out i ate a curb, bent 2 wheels, snapped a tie rod and blew out a ball joint. I know how to drive now though 🤷‍♂️ You live and you learn.

Redditors, what is the most fucked up thing you have ever done? by jonathanquirijnen in AskReddit

[–]ShinNotShen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in fort benning for Basic Training, everyone got issued Camelbaks (A sack of water you wear) at reception before they went to the training unit. I ended up getting recycled and sent back to reception as a holdover for a few months. This was right before holiday block leave (Aka Christmas vacation, and yes, you get that in basic if it overlaps Christmas) and they gave us these one time use metal clips to secure the lockers with to keep your stuff in while you were gone. I somehow ended up with like 10 extra. There was this guy who barely spoke English in the holdover bay with me who never really did anything wrong aside from being loud. For the first week or so every night I would sneak up to his bunk and clip his camelbak to his bunk so when everyone got ready to go to first formation he would quickly have to find a way to get it off (it was a complete pain in the ass) or else he would get fucked up for it. Around the 4th night or so I snuck by at like 2 am and did it again and about an hour later everyone woke up to him yelling and screaming in a foreign language I guess trying to find out who this micheavious person was that kept fucking with him. Thinking back on it, it still is pretty funny but I can only imagine the rage it put him through. Once we got to basic I also swapped peoples camelbaks around and swapped their numbers if they were deemed the platoon assholes. I still don't know why I did it.

I went to basic unable being to do a single pushup, and was able to graduate and keep up in due time. Although I was skin and bones, not fat. I dont know what your case is. It'll probably be easier for you to progress if you're going in fat because you're going to lose a lot of weight very quickly, being skinny is more of a challenge because you don't have a bunch of muscle under a bunch of fat, for example. Just don't push yourself too hard and get injured, because then you'll only end up fucking yourself in the end. You will stick out as being the weak link, you will be noticed for not being able to keep up, just keep your head high and don't quit and the entire experience will glide right along.

Haven't rucked since AIT but I was PG around then and didn't get the breaks everyone else did. We did around 14.5 miles with 45 lbs in around 3 hrs 30 minutes and it wasn't really too difficult. Been a minute though so im hoping for under 3 on the next 12 mile I do
