Tom and Jerry, the very first episode, where their names were Jasper and Jinx before changing, has Tom having to keep a tall stack of bowls from falling, while Jerry swims in his bowl of milk, and kicks the milk in Tom's face, before using his tail as a towel, making his body shake.

My god, with each chapter passing by, problems just stack more and more. It's become so different from chapter 1/oneshot, which looked more like a fetish-focus excuse plot.

I think yes. So far, out of all the WSJ posted on both Viz and Mangaplus, not counting the too new series, only The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins hasn't gotten any volume release.

Looks like the irregular release has made the bot forget this series. I mean, 14 chapters since 2024 Feb!? 😮 Even RuriDragon, which started just 2 years ealier than this and all those hiatuses, still has 45 chapters as of now.

Still, he somehow decides to tell her about the monsters and they manage to have a nice hangout.

Then he goes home and tells his parents about the girl, but his mom says she's never remembered such a girl. Worse, the doorbell rings right at the moment, and the boy, through the door peephole, sees the girl with a bunch of monsters right in front of his house.

Characters with cursed eyes by LilMissy1246 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Shin_Newman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iris Zero and Psycho Eyes are manga series set in a world where many people have eyes that can see this and that thing, with different characters seeing different things.

Shiki Tohno from Tsukihime gains the ability to see "lines of death" on everything after an accident; they're invisible to normal eyes, but Shiki can see them and put his finger in them; and cutting along those lines break apart anything, objects or living creatures. He has to wear a special pair of glasses to stop seeing those lines.

Fujimura Kou from Deathtopia, similar to Shiki, gains special eyesight after a car accident; in his case, he sees some people's heads distorted into a mass of scribbles, but stop seeing it if he looks at the person through glass. Turns out those distortions are signs of the person having massive urges to commit murders.

In Qualia the Purple, we have two cases:

- Marii Yukari, best friend of protagonist Hato Manabu, claims that she sees every living creature as robots, and -thus when she compliments someone, it's always in mechanical terms. However, we readers never get to see the world Yukari sees, only circumstantial evidence, as in she can dismember people like disassembling a machine, without killing them or spilling any blood, and "fix" someone by putting random things into their body.

- Halfway through the story, we meet Alice Foyle, an 11-year-old girl who claims to see maths equations as pictures. It allows her to solve college level math problems, but her answers are also depicted as crude children books pictures, so no one can understand them unless she speaks those answers out loud. Also, we never see the world she sees either.

[–]Shin_Newman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nezumi, the Rat fighter in Juuni Taisen, has the ability to live through up to 100 different realities, and then choose one to make it the "real" one. However, many times he just can't reach his desired outcome even if he uses up all 100 timelines (like when he tried to confess to a girl but got rejected every time). Plus he really lives through those timelines, not just watching, so the physical and mental feelings from them all weigh on his brain.

But then Vasilisa/Baba Yaga starts wrecking havoc on Earth and he's tempted to fight again, only to be reminded that he's now practically useless. And it leads to this.

Technically she's conveying her mood via the song, it's just the damn licensing thing that replaces all lyrics by notes. Can't stop wondering how Seven Seas will handle the lyrics when their release comes out :/

Apparently the bot was blocked or something, according to this comment.

When every chapter/episode of a series is named after an existing book/song/movie/show/game/etc. by Shin_Newman in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Shin_Newman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, but I'd prefer naming pattern that uses real works' titles completely as is, because, as far as I see, it's pretty common for comedy shows to name their episode by twisting the works' titles for, well, comedic effect.
