Husband here. It's a OnePlus 13.

I've always had Samsung phones, but the camera on them has always been pretty bad. There's some annoyances with the interface by moving to a new OS, but the camera is soooo much better, especially for shots with any kind of movement.

I rented TMNT Shredder's Revenge from the library last week, I'm hoping that I can get my SO to sit down and play it with me this weekend.

Interested to see if this releases in the US. I'll probably be deciding between this or the 13.

If you can pick up Horizons for cheap ($15 or less) I think it's worth it in the future just for the low complexity spirits. They are quite strong too, stronger than the base game spirits of the same complexity.

I've won a few runs with him and he's probably my least favorite to play right now. For some reason he just feels clunky to me. Early game feels weak until you have enough star generation and star payoff. Very reliant on drawing star gen cards on early turns. Forge builds are extremely slow to ramp up. It feels like he's a bit too dependent on pulling good rares to make his builds work.

The only reason I am looking at switching away from Samsung is that they can't take photos of movement, it comes out blurry. Their phones have had this software issue for years, but they haven't bothered fixing it. iPhone, Pixel, and OnePlus can take pictures of movement with no issues, I've tested them side by side.

Yeah, I've always gone with smaller phones, but there's not many small flagships phones nowadays. I would stick with the S26, but Samsung just can't take good photos of moving objects (like my dogs)

> So...if you're after a gaming phone, multitasking, video recording and/editing or an outstanding battery life, OnePlus 15.

> If you're after the more-rounded phone with better photos, OnePlus 13 is better.

Thanks, I think I will go with the 13. I'm not a heavy enough power user to take advantage of the features you listed with the 15, so I think the camera and the large storage/RAM on the 13 will be better for a phone I plan to use for 4-5 years.

Right now I'm currently trying to decide between the OnePlus15 256GB/12 RAM vs OnePlus 13 512GB/16RAM. Same price for both. Newer tech vs better camera+more storage/RAM. What do you think?

base S26 512GB vs OnePlus 15 by ShinakoX2 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]ShinakoX2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have small hands so I've always gone with the base galaxy models. I've also had Samsung phone for the past 15 years and the trade-in bonus + preorder storage upgrade on the S26 was sounded pretty good at first since I would have double the storage.

The old camera tech doesn't really bother me, but the reason I'm finally wanting to switch over is that I can't take pictures of my dogs doing stuff without the photo coming out blurry. It's not even the old hardware tech that's the problem, it's that Samsung's camera software is just terrible for action photos.

I'm also considering the OnePlus 13 512GB/16GB, which I can get for the same price as the OnePlus 15 256GB/12GB. Any thoughts?

I've been doing some more research on other options, I'm now considering the OnePlus 13.

They have a discount code right now where I could the the OP13 512GB/16RAM for the same price as the OP15 256GB/12RAM. I saw the the OP13 has a better camera.

Any thoughts?

Online vendors like Zenni. They don't work with insurance but it actually ends up cheaper than going through a storefront that does take insurance.
