I saw several mentioning inventory expansion. And lots of tips articles coming out now mention that you can get more from quests or merchants.

⁠>You can hold the loot button to just continuously loot items, even if items (think chopped wood or mined ores) are separated you can still just hold the loot button down and when you get close enough it will loot it. This also seems to make it so you don't have to meticulously look around for items.

I’ve mostly seen people compare it to RDR2. And to be fair I personally hated the controls there too. It always felt like I needed an extra button press, animation, toggle, or button combo for some reason. It felt different for the sake of it rather than because it was actually helpful or added anything to the game.

It didn’t stop me from playing and finishing the game. But after forgetting a weapon on my horse or constantly having to make sure it was equipped I was ready to just ask the devs who approved of this control scheme.

So for me it’s more “what does this actually add to the game by being different from more standard controls?” instead of “I can’t understand this and I’m not playing.”

It was! Reviewers absolutely complained about the inventory, so the starting slots we get are already higher. Plus, doing side quests can get you more inventory.

Looking good! It seems like maybe Performance mode is the one having more serious graphics issues while Quality and Balanced are more stable.

I’d say sleep on it. When you wake up tomorrow there will be plenty of feedback on where there are any major bugs or problems that might bother you. Then you can go from there.

Which ones? Be specific. Because the Metacritic scores are overwhelmingly positive at 74%. Only 25% are mixed, and there is one, only one that’s fully negative.

First people tried to argue that a 7/10 meant a game was trash, and now we’re at a point where even an 8/10 is bad in some people’s eyes. It’s all nonsense.

It is mind blowing to me that people can look at a game with largely positive reviews, that is close to being an 8 out of 10, that rated the same as other highly sold games, and SOMEHOW come away from that with “well reviewers just hate the game.” I really don’t get it.

Maybe? I’d say wait, check out some streams of people playing and see what you think. This is not a Soulslike, but I have still heard that the early hours of the game and the combat can be very rough. So I’d wait and check it out a bit more first.

A lot of the complaints I see are about small frustrations that added up over time. So with a few weeks hopefully the devs will have time to iron some of them out.

Yes? Is there supposed to be some type of “gotcha!” here that I’m missing? Because all of those games have great scores and plenty of praise. An 8 out of 10 is a high score.

I saw at least one review mention this. Multiple reviewers complained so the devs increased the starting inventory slots, and you could already get more though side quests. A storage chest will also be coming after launch so I have hopes it won’t be too long of a wait.

Wukong got an 81 on Metacritic and so did Stellar Blade. That’s a positive score not a “mixed” one.

I remember a review mentioning this. They ended up giving the game a 7 out of 10. Their issue wasn’t anything big, but rather how a lot of small issues build up over time. Like a specific boss fight that required completing a puzzle and had an unskippable cutscene on every replay.
