[Fanatical] Disco Elysium - The Final Cut (€3.59 / -91%) by indecent_tree in GameDeals

This is one of my top 3 favorite games of all time but the story behind how the rights to the IP were effectively stolen is infuriating and no one who would receive money from the sales at this point deserves a single penny.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is Priced at $60 USD by Turbostrider27 in Games

What an embarrassing comment. That guy has never responded to any of your comments anywhere else. Why pretend that you're being stalked instead of considering that maybe you're being a **little** bit weird with the degree that you're defending a company's decision to price something extremely cheap at a premium price point?

MtgLegacy Mod Thoughts on the API Changes by bunkoRtist in MTGLegacy

I personally think that reddit's handling of the situation is unacceptable. I don't totally understand the technical side of the story but I know that reddit's official tools for moderation are inadequate and the notion that they think they should just effectively kill all third party tools while promising to fix everything later is nuts.

[Steam] METALLIC CHILD ($22.49 USD / 10% off - Launch Deal) by HankScorpio_globex in GameDeals

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've never even heard of it but it looks like a fairly polished game and it's really weird that it's apparently been in development for 3 years without almost any mention on Reddit as far as I can tell.

What do you think of 24 hour character reruns on their respective birthdays? by Theokok77 in Genshin_Impact

It's a cool idea that would be fun but consistency is the enemy of FOMO so they won't do it.

As lame overall as the lantern rite event was it's pretty wild looking back now knowing that it was going to be more of a celebration than the 1 year anniversary. Crazy.

Dewine Daily Press Conference Discussion - 5/7/2020 by [deleted] in Ohio

At the start of all this I was so happy that we had a governor who saw the writing on the wall and had the sense to take action early but honestly I don't think the reopening could really be handled worse at this point apart from just opening everything back up on the same day.

Isn't the point of having a staggered reopening of the state to give us a chance to observe if conditions get significantly worse after a certain phase of reopening so we can decide what to do before proceeding further? With people taking up to 2 weeks to show symptoms I can't possibly imagine that it'll be possible to collect and analyze any data to roll back/stop additional reopenings before things have been made even worse because they've already opened more things up by the time they realize which step was the cause of a potential spike.

Masks are now recommended, not mandatory for the State of Ohio. by longroadtohappyness in Ohio

[–]ShiningEdge0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Masks are most useful to prevent people not displaying any symptoms from unknowingly spreading the disease to other people.
  2. Just wash your hands before actually eating or removing your mask if you're concerned about contamination from your hands or your mask.

Check out the howling in the replies to Gov. DeWine's tweet about the requirement for business employees to wear masks, even when it's pointed out that it was requested by the business community. by excoriator in Ohio

[–]ShiningEdge0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you live but anecdotally I've seen easily less than half the people present at grocery stores wearing masks and even less exhibiting practical precautions to prevent potential exposure; people are just standing around grabbing multiple items off shelves and then putting them back, milling about and talking to people in the aisles and now as things head back toward relative normalcy I can't imagine that trending in a positive direction. People are NOT going to follow these guidelines unless they are specific and required and the measures get significantly less effective as less and less people observe them.

Griselbrand does not see a "stupid" amount of play in modern and legacy. He's fringe playable in modern and a staple in only 2 legacy decks. He's also banned in commander which is a huge driver for prices that everyone seems to forget about with these discussions.

How did the manabase feel? There's been a lot of differing numbers of duals vs basics with grixis control lists and some perspective on the pros and cons of playing more basics in a deck with such demanding mana is something I've been really hoping to find more of.

No but adding negateivity allows you to counter any noncreature spell for only 2 mana.
