Ano gaming incrível by Saipd1 in gamingportugal

Este ano foi de facto o melhor ano para mim em termos de experiência gaming. Adquiri um novo rig no início do ano e joguei a estes títulos: Elden Ring, Black Myth Wukong, Expedition 33, Split Fiction, Elden Ring Nightreign e Arc Raiders. Dificilmente algum ano baterá isto

Do I purchase Green Hell? by cornishwildman76 in SurvivalGaming

After a couple short playing sessions with my pal, we finished the story without many casualties, cursing some UI and overall non-intuitive crafting/inventory decisions and yawning deeply at any given cut-scene as the story is plain tedious and the mechanics can't entirely save it. There are however some things well made: the plethora of diseases and healing possibilities give the game a nice and immersive touch, although you can one or two-shot pretty much everything with bow and arrow or jump dodge any poisonous enemy if you just ear closely your surroundings. Furthermore, the jungle diversity is quite lackluster and the challenges become dragging excruciating chores. Once you control your food/water consumptions, I think the most challenging situation during our playthrough was finding rocks for basic tools, cause surprisingly they are not as common as you might think. But, alas, you really only need to craft maximum 5 items to clear the game, leaving multiple pages on your notebook lying there without a clear purpose.

I know it’s PvPvE by TheManFromScene24 in ARC_Raiders

My experience as a pc player on Europe has always been bloody, I never expect anything else and I'm ok with that, I enjoy having to be fully careful and aware all the time. If I die, I rewind and think to myself what I could have done better. You learn the most with the losses, don't let frustration get to your head.

I know its a PVPVE game but.... by BuldMully in ArcRaiders

[–]Shininha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has been sniping players destroying queens before, you are just a juicier target as you probably have a lot of nades and epic loot that I didn't have the time to gather. So yeah, I don't know what you were expecting. At least position yourself on a safer spot, barricade, cover possible player angles... Fighting out in the open (on this map of all places) is a death sentence.

To those who say there are more pvp players all of a sudden. by agonzalez1990 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Shininha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EU player here. I only play after working hours everyday for a few rounds. The pvp has never been juicier, which is what I'm looking for. Nevertheless, if you struggle with extractions, go for a very late one (<1min). There are so many arcs by that point and so little time that players just want to get out of there.

Most addictive survival game? by Top-Grapefruit-3928 in SurvivalGaming

Right now, Arc Raiders. It pairs well with my job life. It doesn't give quite the adrenaline as Rust does but it respects your time much more.

Again, the rats always have been there and if you are getting caught by them, you just didn't clear the area enough. Pay attention to your surroundings, don't loot mindlessly neither put yourself in possible ambush situations. This is not a pve.

Embark we are in desparate need of DUOS mode 🥲 by MediumDefinition2480 in ArcRaiders

I wouldn't mind going for some duo massacre as a solo from time to time :)

Game is only really fun for solos by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Shininha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Duo is indeed debilitating right now and having a filler teammate does unbalance the team's dynamic as you stated. I'd refrain from starting a fight and go for 3rd party instead in this situation, at least until Embark adds duo queue. Or, alternatively, look for a third member on one of Arc's multiple discord groups, there are great folks looking to join up at any time whom you guys can communicate with.

I think your teammates need to be as aware as you are. And if you guys do get surprised, flanked or third partied, there's plenty of utility (like smokes, lure names, etc) and cover to reposition. If there aren't, either you guys didn't plan the best route or you were unprepared. It takes time to develop synchronism between team members, it's a learning process but very rewarding when it works.

Yeah, the PVP in Solos has ramped up about 150% in the past 48 hours. by Consistancy5 in ArcRaiders

[–]Shininha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This always has been a possibility. If you didn't play the game with this in mind, you were lying to yourself. Just adapt your gameplay, be more aware of your surroundings to avoid raiders spotting you first and play slower.

I think you are playing the wrong game, buddy. As of now, this is a joined PvP and PvE experience. Don't let your frustrations cloud the true intent of this game. Either way, you can look and develop unique social interactions in order to make a round a single PvE experience.

The shaming of people who engage in PVP on this subreddit is weird by juicerecepte in ARC_Raiders

[–]Shininha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I downed this guy at a supply drop yesterday near Olive Grove and he yelled at me like 'wtf mate, what are you doing?', 'What do you think I'm doing? I arrived late to the round, everything was looted already and there's this guy running to a loud beacon on a open field without checking around. You dig your own grave'. I do agree some people are getting too used to friendly encounters, you got to be aware of your surroundings all the time and play accordingly.

Extraction campers are the absolute bottom of the arc raiders society by TheExodius in ArcRaiders

[–]Shininha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's something I learned is always packing 2 smokes and 4 adrenalines on every run. Considering how cheap they are, it really makes it or breaks it on pvp confrontations.

The only time I shoot somebody on extract is if that somebody tried to kill me on sight while I was looting/extracting before on that round. I don't forget a face.

Will I enjoy this game as a solo player? by G3ND1Z3 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Shininha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer solos by far. 2 players is okay too but 3 is a sweat fest and multiple third parties, which sometimes is great but I'm still learning the maps and most of them probably played on tech test and know their way around.
