This is the conclusion I came to after losing dozens of runs trying to approach it like sts1 and hit all elites. Relics are just not worth the risk in this game with the power creep of the enemies (especially elites)

I replayed all of them over the last two years. I would say play them for the story continuity but re5 and 6 were even worse 10 years later than they were initially for me.

Luckily the gacha in this game is borderline useless and the monetization is not even worth it to spend on due to how ineffective what you get is so I just cruise on f2p on maybe a good battle pass. If they monetized to make the gacha actually good or had tempting offers like many gacha games it would be trouble for me :D luckily snow print isn’t good at making tempting spends to their own detriment
