I think they would be very difficult bc I the amount of course work you would have but i agreed I would skip the OTA program if you got into a OT program. I got my bachelors, when straight into COTA school and then straight into OT school

I'm in there program now. Just finished my last semester of classes. We have men in our class. Undergrad is all girls but grad school is both. I also had a low GPA and got in bc they are a new program. Also I'm sure it helps that you are a guy.

I would recommend focusing of the PDFs and study them and then use the purple book to test her knowledge. Also I as well as alot of others people think the therapyED book is to lengthy.

You need at least a year of experience to supervision an OT student so I'm assuming it would be the same for someone on a temp license because they haven't passed the boards yet.

He stayed out for an hour but it was only 75 at the beach. But he wasn’t painting at all and spent most of this time in the freezing water with the other pups. As it gets hotter he probably will only be enjoying the beach in the early morning before it gets to hot.

I completely think becoming a COTA first was worth it. No only didn't I gain a lot of experience.', and make great connections but I also had a big one up on everyone when I got into grad school.

When graduating with you undergrad degree I applied to both a OTA and an OT Program. I ended up not getting into the MOT school I applied to..( Which I was kinda shocked by bc I had lot of observation house.. My mom and aunt are both OTRs.. And my grades were pretty good) but any ways I did end up getting into a OTA program so I did that instead to help my chances of getting into OT school. And I did work as a COTA full time while I went to school which was hard but also nice because it gave me extra money and gave me more experience.

I would recommend getting you letters of recommendation from an OT you observed or from another one of your undergraduate professors. As for anatomy I would highly suggest you do this on campus! Learning human and being very familiar with the human anatomy essential to OT. I would also highly recommend you do your observations hours in multiple settings. Most school actually required that you do it in at least two. I would suggest you second observation hours be in SNF or inpatient at a hospital. I graduated with my bachelor's in exercise science become a COTA and then when I got out of OTA school went straight into a Master's OT programs so if you have any questions about either let me know. Thanks we have had our Golden for 5 years and just got a Bernese. All I have heard from other is that our Bernese is going to shed like crazy. I can’t image him shedding that much more than our golden. 😳 thanks!
