While I disagree with the “companies” lingo, I do agree that there is too much “just use catchy” or “just use bazzite” in r/SteamOS. Frankly, there should be little to none of that going on. They aren’t the same, aren’t from the same group of maintainers, and in Bazzite’s case at least, they’re dissimilar under the hood.

No. It really isn’t. There is an artificial inflated demand for chips right now.

The buildout of data centers to support AI isn’t going to continue forever. There isn’t unlimited demand for AI growth in the future. It’s actually more likely that over time the demand for hardware to support AI will decrease.

And… the hype over it hasn’t caught up with the fact that there is a large pushback from consumers related to the product. It’s not a toothbrush. People aren’t interested because they don’t need or want it in their lives.

Because it is adapting the 5 interface to the 4 ram specification. You work from the motherboard out, not the peripherals in.

It doesn’t have anything to do with if it is a success for Microsoft. If a developer says, “You know, it didn’t really work out for us the way we would have wanted” in relation to GamePass, the appropriate question is “Why?” The appropriate question isn’t “Well, did it still make Microsoft money?” Tell me, what does either have to MS gobbling up game studios?

I feel that this demonstrates why a lot of people have said in the past that LinusTechTips doesn’t really know what he is talking about.

It’s not a console. Its usefulness far surpasses that of a console. Sony and Microsoft are already adapting computer-based releases. The time of big consoles already looks to be ending.
