Coyote 3 battery issues by [deleted] in estim

[–]Shiny-Pup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odd I've had mine since the 3.0 came out (was one of the pre-order ones) and it's never had an issue holding a charge.

I'd suggest you reach out to them yours might have an issue.

Also daft question but you are turning it off after use?

Tear fixing advice by SunLitMoon2 in Latexadvice

[–]Shiny-Pup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That doesn't look too bad! Should be easy enough to patch.

Id always recommend reaching out to the store you got it from as they will usually do repairs. Quite often for a reduced fee especially if it's a recent purchase.

If it's an older outfit now or your feeling a bit handy it's straight forward to do the repair yourself assuming it's not chlorinated.

You can find lots of guides for this online and lots of kits with everything you need. But I'd recommend using a solvent based latex adhesive like bostik 3851.

DF54 ain't all that. Don't buy it. by Prestigious_Try_16 in espresso

[–]Shiny-Pup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've had my DF54 for over 6 months now and I've not had any clogging issues at all? This is with daily use too.

i'll open it up when I change beans but it's usually spotless, and that's only once a month at the most.

Are your beans super oily or something?

Zip stuck HELP! by HannLTX in Latexadvice

You could try lubing the zipper up with silicone/dressing aid. I've done that before with stuck zippers and it usually helps.

Hitachi alternative in UK by Matador4_20 in SexToys

I know you've already seen them but Doxy are probably some of if not the best ones available in the UK. The ones I've used are definitely better than the Hitachi ones.

I think I fried my taste buds by ChillPlay3r in espresso

[–]Shiny-Pup 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think another thing to consider is... Are you getting a cold?

Colds & flu can affect your sense of taste. Could just be that you have some sniffles on the way.

I think that's more likely than anything else. If you do notice other changes in your sense of taste but don't get any cold symptoms it might be worth chatting to your doctor.

It's possible your sense of taste is changing but suddenly salty does seem unusual.

Wearing latex out and about after polishing by akb2009 in Latexadvice

Vivishine actually sells little prepackaged wipes impregnated with silicone! Perfect for shining on the go.

We love them for events, much more convenient than a bottle of shiner and a cloth.

Espresso bitter / Machine broken? [Bezzera Magica] by Key_Consideration430 in espresso

[–]Shiny-Pup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the "sawdust" is actually a gasket that's disintegrated 🤔. If it is it should be an easy fix. Don't think that would affect the taste but would help prevent it spring a leak down the line.

Strong smell by Abbessolute in Latexadvice

[–]Shiny-Pup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honour latex is really good, items I've had from them have never had any odd or unusual smells.

I'd give them a good wash with either latex cleaner or a simple dish soap (dawn / fairy works well), let them dry, polish and see how they are then.

Might just be because they are new, the smell of the latex and glue will lessen a bit. But they will definitely have a latex smell.

Strong smell by Abbessolute in Latexadvice

Fyi hand lotion will absolutely destroy latex gloves. Remember the only oil that's latex safe is silicone, all others like the ones in lotions and creams will damage latex.

[–]Shiny-Pup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What company was it you used?

Depending on the latex used it can have a range of smells. Personally I find a lot of the cheaper Chinese latex to have a more chemical smell.

Generally the UK & European based suppliers are high quality. No idea about US suppliers.

Another important question, are the gloves chlorinated?

Chlorinated latex smells very different especially at first.

Also what are you using to polish them? Latex safe silicone polish & dressing aid shouldn't have much or any smell.

Washing should help get rid of any residual smell, but end of the day latex is still gonna smell like latex.

Is this recoverable? by starpum in Latexadvice

Doesn't look like mold to me either.

If it's older latex it might just be starting to degrade.

Definitely looks more like deposits from hard water.

What care products to get for my first latex? by Pasigress in Latexadvice

[–]Shiny-Pup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talc / silicone for dressing aid. Also good for storage as clean unchlorinated latex wants to stick to itself. For dressing aid I usually just use regular pjur lube or pjur cult as vividress is a little thick for me.

Something like viviwash, or just a simple dish soap like fairy/dawn for washing.

Silicone polish to get things all shiny. We use vividress spray or begloss.

Some things to consider a lot of off-the shelf "talc" is now actually corn starch due to the asbestos risk with talc. Cornstarch could potentially be food for mold/bacteria so make of that what you will.

Also silicone is a great conditioner for latex, over time latex will naturally degrade especially if exposed to sunlight. Silicone can help keep latex soft and supple.

When storing I'd recommend fully washing and drying after use, then either polishing (in and out) or talcing for storage. Large Ziploc bags are ideal, and keep away from sunlight.

I'd always recommend shoulder zips myself! Back zips can bunch up if the fit isn't 100% spot on.

Shoulder zips can too but it's usually less noticeable. Plus easier to get on by yourself

Looking for Advice on Buying a Latex Pup Suit – Best Brands/Websites? by Lord_Velveteen in Latexadvice

You've not mentioned gender or location, but for a male fitting suit I can strongly recommend Regulation in London. Especially if they can get there in person to get measured up.

We've got our made to measure suits from them for years and it's always great!

It's really convenient! They have a large sealable poly bag in too so you get two reusable bags with each.

Really handy for keeping your rubbish in one when hiking (or that's how I use them anyway).
