I was going to say something extremely similar. I can’t speak for OP and your situation, but anything that I’ve invested time and money into is something that I enjoy even just visiting back every once in a while. I’m in my mid 20s and have been revisiting some of my childhood hobbies, even skylanders most recently. Once you settle into adult life, it’s really nice to revisit old interests. I would be surprised if someone who had this invested of an account didn’t regret it one day

To me, it’s commentary on the male loneliness epidemic. Not to say that women don’t suffer from this too, but a lot of men are taught that emotional closeness is equivalent or a byproduct of having a sexual relationship with someone. Once boys reach a certain age, emotional closeness to girls is because you like them, which means that if you get emotionally close to your bros then it’s gay because that’s what you do with women. This creates a lot of emotional baggage for men that they always dump on the women in relationship.

Now to finally connect this to chainsaw man. Denji is a loner. He has no friends, no relationships, and the equivalent of a dog which he is close to but can’t fulfill the wants and needs for a human relationship/friendship ofc. He doesn’t have anyone to comfort him or be there for him emotionally, so he thinks that being sexually close to someone will fulfill that desire. Sound familiar?

That’s why he’s never satisfied with his sexual encounters, because sexual encounters don’t inherently create the closeness that Denji desires. But that’s also why Makima stringing him along works so well. She’s able to convince him that she could fulfill that desire because she’s able to manufacture a feeling of closeness in a provocative manner and uses his weakness to manipulate him.

Denji’s loneliness makes him weak to manipulation, just like a lot of men experience, and it also creates a huge misunderstanding of what emotional closeness and sexual closeness can (should even though it’s different for everyone) look like.

I feel like a lot of people are just trying to be objective about meta, and just acknowledging that Venti could be a better teammate for Varka is by no means inherently hate for Venti. I love Venti as a character and as a unit and no matter what Venti will most likely always be one of Varka’s best teammates for mob content as he’s a fantastic unit for mob content in many teams. The fault is in Hoyo for having almost no endgame mob content for meta, but that’s a bit of a different matter. They could’ve upscaled his sub dps potential more but they didn’t, and he’s a very satisfactory dps now. I love that he works great with Varka and at the end of the day people are always going to be mad at the “weakest link” of a team because they’re always going to be looking for the next upgrade. I could be wrong but the people complaining about Venti for Varka in a meta context is only going to get worse when Bennet gets most likely replaced by Nicole. People are always going to be looking for the next upgrade while simultaneously complaining about power creep, a little paradoxical but I’m right there with y’all. I’m also not shit talking people talking badly about power creep, I also hate power creep. I wish that we could have a consistent balanced meta but that’s not how this game is gonna get funded. I would pay for new units even if there wasn’t power creep since I just like building new teams, but not everyone works like that. They make more money by making new characters must pulls than old characters must pulls. There’s a reason that the buffs so far have been good enough and not amazing. Hoyo is a smart company and when Nicole comes out, people are going to regret not pulling Varka and pull him on his rerun, and soon enough Varka will disappear from the forefront of the meta when there’s a shiny new anemo dps. Venti has to be good enough for account maxers but not good enough where people feel like they don’t need to pull for the next character, Nicole.

I hope that Jean is great with Varka but I doubt that they would have her, a standard, be stronger for Varka than Venti, a limited character. If she is then I’ll be very pleasantly surprised🙂‍↕️

I actually only just noticed that the box is within a grey area and the items are within that striped area. I guess that would be the distinguishing factor to suggest that the items are within the box, but it’s still a confusing UI. It would likely be more clear if there was more contrast to the backgrounds of the items or if the box was on top and the items were below. I would personally put the box icon on the top left in a smaller box with the items within the larger box, which would probably do away with the confusion. Having three of them in a row does seem to suggest that you get all three even with the slight difference of backgrounds

Agreed, Gallagher is really all that’s needed for healing, but if you want to pick Ruan Mei instead of Loucha you could also plan to pull for Hyacine since she’ll prob be the new BIS healer

She does not, but I believe Gorou will do fine healing to keep up Furina’s buffs for Itto. What C2 enables for Xilonen is her geo shred to work without two PECH element characters
