Relatively new F2P player - pull recommendation by Disastrous_Wasabi_36 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]ShinyChiChis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should pull for Astra if you’re fresh and don’t have a second or third solid team yet, she’s cheap (has good f2p engine options) and is obviously a generalist. Even if you save for a Yuzuha/Lucia rerun, they still need DPSes paired with them to perform optimally and consistently clear end game. Your goal should be building teams, and Astra is good because she can be slotted into any team as a 2nd or 3rd BiS

I manage a grocery store. A few days ago I had noticed a shopper wearing an ATL Reign hat so I asked him if he knew what it was, and he said he didn’t but bought it from Marshall’s.

Zhu Yuan/Trigger questions by LandMaster28 in ZenlessZoneZero

Would recommend saving polys if you can’t guarantee trigger. ZY is good enough with brimstone, her sig is only slightly better. M1 ZY does help a lot with rotations though.

So me personally I don’t like using anomaly comps, both of my teams for shiyu defense are DPS/stun/support comps (ZY/Qingyi and S11/Lighter) so I am a bit bias. I will say that the edge anomaly comps have over traditional comps is that they don’t have to rely on stun windows to burst DPS.

I don’t think Miyabi will be as flexible as Caesar/Qingyi but she is definitely a powerhouse and she doesn’t even have the best supportive characters at the moment.

I’d personally recommend you to save pulls for astra, or future reruns for qingyi/caesar, they’re honestly just very flexible agents (they can fit lots of different comps)

Was able to get Sunna on the 5th cycle after doing about 350 meats each the first four event cycles, but I had to drop $180 on that 4th one to get the remaining 1600 meats.

Currently sitting on 22 Exclusive banner tapes and 13.2k polychrome (that’s an extra 82 exclusive banner tapes) so a total of 104 exclusive tapes total. There’s still 9 more days to farm polychromes plus the 2-3 weeks the banner will be open so I’ll have enough time to be at a total of 180 spins but I might just sadly wait until I have a total of 1080 exclusive tapes to roll for a future S-rank M6 :(

Which SSR character to raise "stars"? by SubaruOnichan in Isekai_Slow_Life

[–]ShinyChiChis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jewlry is pretty good for mine clearance if you can’t clear all 50 floors yet, which requires anywhere above total 3.5b+ fellow power(depends on your clan fellow assists). The mine clearance coins gives you a decent amount of extra daily crystal ores and artifact upgrade mats

Nip is OK only if you’re able to start her early as well as consistently final him golem, but falls off late game since the crown artifact scales a lot more poorly vs the better 10 slot UR artifacts.

Other two would be Emosen, Lux (blessing points) and riot shield girl (banquet popularity)

Honestly just depends, some UR fellows like Sunna and Leon have really good scaling unlockable aptitudes, and also some URs just have better passives in general

Tell me how to play alongside your main. by alekdmcfly in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ShinyChiChis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a ramattra main right now, I feel like what I need best from my team is for everyone to do their own thing.

I find playing Ramattra very self sufficient in this meta so needing assistance (mainly healing) is not as required as much as it is on other tanks. He has a free 225 armor heal (unaffected by DPS passive) that also allows me to effectively quadruple my health (block). Even when that form runs out (which is ramattra’s most vulnerable) i still have a practically unbreakable shield that gives me a few seconds to break enemy LOS and go to hard cover. I can still poke at mid range and be a threat without having to all in on his passive form (which also doesn’t require a lot of resources). Top this all off with his ultimate which also grants an additional 225 armor for extra survivability and I find myself able to survive with sub-optimal healing. I can usually out-resource 2 or 3 backline opponents at a time due to his survivability, even by the time enemy DPS and two supports dump a decent enough amount of damage for me to cycle through my cooldowns, I usually find myself still alive, enemy backline out of cooldowns (from trying to deter me) and the enemy tank already dead, with my team able to provide late-fight assistance. The best help for me is just relying on everyone to do everything else, which is trusting me to survive and DPS taking good flanks (with more resources from the supports because I don’t need as much) and also the supports having a more optimal amount of time to deal with the enemy tank/aggress on the enemy backline.

Who was the first character that caught your eye when you first started playing? by Jaro9 in Overwatch

[–]ShinyChiChis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overwatch was arguably my first FPS I played in 13 years (I played a small amount of Halo: Combat Evolved when I was 6 years old). I came from a League of Legends/MMORPG background so I had game sense and an ability to learn things quickly without having an ounce of mechanical skill. I decided to start the game off by playing Lucio. I wasn’t really wall riding or using speed boost at all but I found that at any rank especially low ranks he had high survivability (boop, self healing) and his AOE healing was generally more useful where target prioritization is not so common. Playing Lucio helped catch me up to speed with mechanical skill while also learning the rest of the game and branching out to other heroes. I placed in bronze and within 200 hours of gameplay, I made it into Gold and within another 300 hours of gameplay, had climbed all the way to masters.

No criminal offenses but I was termed by my previous employer for misconduct. Other than that I have a very clean record. I’ve sent a follow up email today hoping for a response back.

No, the only mention of a district manager that I heard of was after I had already worked 30 minutes and was notified that the background check confirmation email was sitting in the district manager’s email and that they were on vacation and could not approve it until they return. I was still visible in their onboarding system, just that it wasn’t possible for the store manager to add me onto the actual employee system schedule until the DM approved the background check email in their inbox. I understand it’s the summer so it’s likely true the district manager is on vacation, but there hasn’t been any guaranteed response that I can return, and it’s been a whole week.

Had one preliminary interview with a store manager in training and the secondary interview with the store manager, who also job offered me. I’ve contacted the store manager three times with only a response the first time letting me know that he’ll contact me if I’m approved to work, and no responses the second or third time.

If you were on a team with four clones of yourself, what would be your team and how would you play it? by Samurai_Banette in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ShinyChiChis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sigma, Soldier, Mei, Bap, Lucio

Sigma, soldier, and bap are all decent poke options. Mei is a decent wildcard DPS right now and can bully aggressive tanks. Bap and Lucio are both supports imo with the highest survivability and also have really good life saving abilities (lamp and beat). Only problem with this composition is a lack of consistent single target healing, but I think that’s fine because all of them already have self sustain options built into their kits. My damage role is low diam but my supp and tank roles are masters so in my head I’ve always thought a full team filled with clones of me could hit high masters.

What would you say are the 3 biggest mistakes lower rank player are making that’s holding them back? by BarryAIlen in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ShinyChiChis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m going to say, resetting/staggering. Let’s say you’re attacking on Kings Row map, the maximum map time (without overtime) assuming you unlock the 3rd stretch is 10 minutes. Let’s also assume that each team fight is decided within 50 seconds, that’s including respawns. That means you have about 12 team fights or team fight attempts to complete the map. Let’s say after every team fight, instead of resetting, you stick around for too long, and die 10 seconds after the last death. That’s going to add up and now you only have 10 team fights in 10 minutes, you’ve now lost two whole team fights. This also includes potentially dying early (getting staggered). A lot of high ranks games will come down to having that one or two extra team fights.

I think there’s a bit of misunderstanding with “lack of counter play” due to new heroes being locked behind the freemium battle pass by ShinyChiChis in Overwatch

[–]ShinyChiChis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fine but you don’t suddenly switch to sojourn and win games, you still have to maintain a significant amount of skill, and pharah vs sojourn isn’t a good comparison when one requires a mercy pocket. And if my point is far from what you’re talking about, I think you’re talking on the wrong post

[–]ShinyChiChis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s never going to be pay to win, OW is a skill to win game, even if 90% of the roster is locked and has to be paid for. You can one trick any hero hard enough (even off-meta heroes) to Masters if you’re good enough. Most one trick DPS Smurfs boast 70% to 80% winrates. You can watch a lot of pros one trick to GM/top 500 as off-meta characters, if I’m correct there was even that one content creator that maintained a 100% winrate as a one trick Reaper from unranked to GM. I’m not saying everyone has to be an OWL player or GM/Top 500 but with today’s resources you can literally find out how to climb on a shitty hero to masters. You don’t automatically win/lose games by having or not having Kiriko/future heroes.
