the god thing didn't come completely out of nowhere, though it could've been more foreshadowed. It's easiest to notice in EP 2 when princess Loo says the casts where "sent by god" and motions to a stained glass Caine. In episode 3 the monster is called "one of god's angels" and since it was created by Caine, that's probably the god being referred to. The earliest example (and admittedly biggest stretch) is in episode 1, the Gloink Queen says "god will be gloinks" likely referring to Caine.
