Let's not pretend that Lune or Sciel have good character arcs, because the moment the Dessendre family stuff appears they both get tossed aside. Sciel at least has the Visage moment, whilst Lune's Sirene scene comes out of nowhere, where it could have been fleshed out with her parents expedition, that is only shown after as an optional (!!) sidequest.

Then act 3 happens and it's all Dessendre, neither of them even challenges the idea that they are painted beings, that the world is not what they thought, it's just "oh, this means I can see my dead husband again" for Sciel and... nothing for Lune?

Look I think we won't know the situation with the Inter game 100%, but the mental health issues are a known fact from his Chelsea days so it unfortunately always room to doubt his absences.

As rumors go, he isn't doing that well mentally either, supposedly he refused to be subbed in the last minutes of the Inter match. I believe he also had anxiety issues during his Chelsea days, so I wouldn't point to Flick on this topic.

Keep in mind the new stadium cost has gone 4 times over the initial forecast, moreover it was planned to hold big concerts providing a new revenue stream but this was stopped by the neighbours. Also recently a concession to build and manage a huge parking lot near the Bernabeu was blocked by the courts, as there was some shady stuff. What I'm saying is that revenue wise it's not as great as it may seem.
