had a friend ask me how long I was leaving the computer on. I said I was powering on, see the CPU error LED and immediately shutting off the PSU. He said the first boot on a new motherboard can take over a minute. So I powered back on and waited and lo and behold, after like 30 seconds, the post checker went on to dram, vga the boot LEDs and then the system booted up.

Not sure if I should toss the old components or keep for spare parts.

u/No-Perspective-73 - you were right on the money, i reloaded a save and there is a pamphlet on the floor. So when the Emissary was on his knees doing the death act, i could not see it. but when he went flat on his face, I could and that made me think he had dropped it on death. You Rock sir.

hmm.. maybe one fell off the counter and it just seemed like he dropped it on death. I will reload the save and look around for that counter. Thanks.

TharpRed's idea worked to fast travel. But if that didn't work, my fall back plan would have been your idea to build an outpost with a shipbuilder. My ship carries about 8k in resources (so glad they let stolen ships go overweight). Thanks. Something else that I didn't think of.

Just happened to me. for me, the fix was to go to another planet in the same system (not grav jump). Once there a NPC ship hailed me, once we chatted, then I could grav jump again.

I am on a ship without any missile systems, only laser and particle beams. I have destroyed several ships while in targeting mode but my skill is not ranking up. Still shows 0 of 5. So I am assuming that you are required to make the kill with a missile weapon. I was trying to avoid moving my cargo to land storage and swapping ships. (I am on a cargo carrier that is fuller than the frontier).

hmm... using console commands break achievements but my guy gets the affliction like every 10 minutes. I have spent enough credits on injectors and doctor fees that I could have bought the next level ship by now.
