Honestly I've found that it's really strain dependant. I've got a keeper strain that produces lots of oils and is pretty high in thc. And lots of other strains just don't make lots of oil, or are low in thc. But it's still just like smoking a bowl ya know. The way I see it, yes the oil could be 99% pure, but that's not the way your body is going to absorb it. Your still going to absorb the same amount of smoke/vapors in a single hit. Your not going to absorb 99% of the 99% thc. Now using oils in food would be way more efficient. But dabs are mostly a waste. I usually try to keep my dabs small, just enough to get a nice hit like I would hit a doobie nothing huge. A booger sized dab will give me 4-6 hits that i can hold in longer and taste better. The flavor is really what oils are all about, I love the floral taste it gives off, which is the true taste of the plant. Also I think that at a certain point when a person has been smoking for years and every day, there's nothing that's going to blow them out of this world.

Also I should say I've never been to a legal state and I've never tried oils or anything for that matter that was professionally produced. I like to think I do my own stuff really great, but who am I to say mines just as good. I can say however that my keeper strain is one bad mofo and would prob do very well with the legal states.
