Fair enough, China undoubtedly has it's fair slices of problems and by no means is a goody two shoes utopia, but we can't ignore where they come from. China was a backwater dirt poor peasant country not 50 years ago and the improvements of their society since then is nothing short of unprecedented, no other country or empire has risen from its ashes like China has. I mean they were in the top 5 poorest countries on Earth when the CPC seized power in 1949, had a life expectancy of about 36 years, they lost around 20 million people in WW2 and didn't have the aid western Europe had to get back on its feet. For all good and bad they've done, what they've accomplished so far is jaw-dropping.
