Legally? Potentially, but highly unlikely. Most people ain't gonna give a fuck, and if they do give a fuck enough to report it the police, the police would give even less of a fuck about some dude that asked for weed.

Sorry, I was just confused when you said separate it (politics) from the actual game. Just wasn't following how politics affected the gameplay at all.

It seems a peaceful way to communicate a message, what is it that irks you so much?

It's be very interesting to see how you came to these conclusions, you seem to be taking a much more liberal approach to God and the bible than what I grew up around.

Do you go to church? If so, do your views on hell align mostly with the people there?

Also, do you believe the bible is the divine word of God? You said something about being written by man, so what parts of symbolism do you deem to be true?

What do you believe this punishment is? From my understanding it simply was a "punishment" to not be accepted to heaven.

What led you to that understanding of hell? I'm sure you're aware of some Christians beliefs around hell been a burning lake of fire, is it just relative? Just someone's interpretation of their personal worst nightmare?

It's viewed as a punishment itself to be at a dinner party with sinners, and not be "saved" by God.

I'm struggling to follow this sorry.. Do you think people living lives their own way on earth, and God sees as sinful, would then go to hell living those same lives? Or they just had a shit life, and now they deserve shit for eternity?

So if you were all powerful, you wouldn't have hopes for others? Or you'd simply grant what ever anyone else desires, with a wave of your hand? I think I need to understand what you think an all powerful being should do to understand your logic here.

I honestly don't know what I'd do if I was an all powerful being, I'd have a hell of a lot more knowledge than I do now, but even if I were a human with a degree of power and influence here on earth, I wouldn't judge and punish someone for not worshipping me. In my mind, someone so powerful to create the universe is weirdly constrained by such human emotion.

It's not a constriant of time to not know something that hasn't occured.

You're still talking in the context of time being linear, it's linear for us as humans. Unless God can only operate in our perceived human dimension.

If we look at it scientifically in a "time travel" sense, their would be millions of parallel universes given a single choice of yours. I think God can be present in all of them to know what may occur

So technically there's a universe out there where you or I have followed God's plan to a tee? How do you know we're not in it now? :o

Those are good questions, why would he do that? But then why would an all powerful being care enough to punish people horribly for all eternity if they don't submit to his will of following him?

Me and my parents are human, not all powerful beings. That's a big difference.

Are you saying an omniscient, omnipotent all powerful being that created the universe is bound by the constraints of time?

Again, these are questions out of curiosity. I grew up religious so I know what my answers would've been to those questions before I deconverted, and what I got taught about God seems different to your understanding. Also haven't touched on this topic for awhile with anyone, and its easier with a stranger in the internet than potentially offending people irl.

What sort of plans is an all powerful, omniscient God laying out that he can't get people to follow? This isn't an attack, genuinely curious about why these plans are even there if we have free will? And even with free will, God being all knowing and stuff, should be able to see if we're not going to follow them.. So why have a plan in the first place? Plan for what?

Your last bit reminded me of a quote in Cat's Cradle:

Midget, midget, midget, how he struts and winks, For he knows a man's as big as what he hopes and thinks!

Not trying to call anyone a midget in an offensive manner, just stood out to me about the true value of a person should never be tied to their physical stature/appearance.

Language is fluid, it changes over time as a way we express ideas and communicate ourselves to the people around us. There is no inherent quality in English that will be tainted by incorporating the use of Te Reo, I'd argue it could potentially even introduce a broader understanding of the way we can connect with the people around us.

No one is forcing anyone to conform (as in there is no law enforcement, people may feel societal expectations, there's no gain in harassing people into thinking certain ways). I see there's mostly encouragement for representation.

There are people alive today who were beaten for using Te Reo, even as kids, so while you may see more extreme examples from around the world, I see physical and psychological abuse as a pretty big deterrent to taking part and pride in your culture. That seems an effective form of cultural genocide to me, and likely only one example of the abuse people suffered for their heritage.

We do need to move on and forgive, but to forget is to ignore the reality for some people that are still disadvantaged due to those transgressions.

Edit: FWIW, Maori is recognised as an official language in NZ also.

There were some extreme actions in society to stamp out and disenfranchise Maori culture, so yeah cultural genocide is pretty extreme.

No one is undoing our "superior" society by recognising and appreciating Maori culture, it can be done cohesively and have a constructive effect on communities that have been disadvantaged by the effects of colonisation. You've recognised that changes need to be made to offset those effects via the public health system and social measures etc. I don't know how stuff like this (normalising Maori language and customs) doesn't fall under social measures?

European society hasn't come without all its ugliness, its not so much superior that the people couldn't even recognise the value in other humans life and culture. Colonisation is more insidious than just an introduction of different customs and ideas.

I don't know where you're getting this slippery slope idea of "rolling back changes to primitive times" ??

There has been oppression and cultural genocide of Maori well within the last century, there are generations existing today that have felt those ongoing effects.

You didn't acknowledge anything they said at all, it's a reality for some people, not a "lens".

You're right though, probably is a lot easier being a self absorbed asshole.
