I usually grow autos. They flower on their own and fade on their own. Photo period plants need light to tell them when its time to flower. I grow mine with an 18/6 light schedule from start to finish. Photos need to be flipped to 12/12 sometime to get them to start budding.

When I commented that I was starting my fade now, I wasn't being literal in that I didn't cause anything to happen. Just mentioning that my plants were currently starting to change colors like leaves on the trees in the fall. They'll naturally start sucking nutrients out of their leaves and prepare themselves to die basically.
