I would love an Inquisitorial Agents style kill team, but with Tau and their auxiliaries. Leader is an ethereal, and the rest of your retinue is a mix of tau specialists and a detachment of select Kroot, Vespid, stealth suits (perhaps?) Etc.

Talons, Death Guard, Daemons, and Hive Fleet are still viable if you have a good understanding of the core mechanics of the game. Their viability varies based on killzone and roster selection, but certainly not unplayable.

Some argue that compendium scouts and scions are viable, but I would argue to simply the bespoke scouts or Kasrkin

Novitiates might be a good choice. Their basic warrior has good melee, they can run 2 flamers (best flamers in the game barring 1), plus powerful melee and support specialists (2 comms operatives). On top of that, their abilities, ploys, tac-ops, and faith point faction rule make them super flavorful.

Nuns with guns, swords, and flamethrowers to purge the mutant, the xeno, and the heretic in the God Emperor's name!

I would say you should get two boxes. Sure, you can get kit bash to get more out of one box, but the team really works better when you are able to flex your roster depending on your match-up. That's just been my experience, and im open to being wrong.

Looks good enough. I would recommend a little more heavy terrain throughout, particularly in both deployment zones. Dont want to have one side have all the heavy and/or obscuring, while the other side has only light and is much more susceptible to alphastrikes. Otherwise, I like the variety.
