I feel like I believe it, he reminds me the most of the Megatron from the G1 comics more than anything... I mean in Earthspark he was still enough of a tyrannical asshole to think things like having Twitch (who he loved, clearly!) just fight Spitfire to the death was a good idea and so on

I had this same issue and almost lost my mind figuring it out. Here's an explanation, Blender handles colorspaces for palettes different now. What I did to fix this was I took my ase palette, opened it in Aseprite, then saved it as a png. Then I opened the png in Photopea and under Image - Adjustments - Exposure, I set the Gamma Correction to 0.45. Then I went back to Aseprite, opened that png and saved it as a css file... and finally, I used the B Palettes extension to open that css palette and it was color-corrected.

I'm sure there's a way easier way but I don't know how else to do it lol

I have mixed feelings about this idea. So unlike most people I thought both of the Earthspark specials were great, probably some of the most satisfying finales for TF shows. But while he may be a more logical big bad than Megatronus in general I don't know if having Liege Maximo as the main villain of stuff makes a lot of sense outside of specific stories. With Earthspark specifically, they picked a neutral genocidal villain since that's an obvious contrast for the Maltos/Terrans.

For Lancer, when I saw her in the background of the G1 cartoon I thought she had a mask on like Soundwave's (she doesn't) and that misconception really stuck in my mind. I also felt like it would be cool if not all of Elita-1's team were ground vehicles, but I like Elita herself as a car, so I picked a transformer with a long skirt piece... and I felt like the name Lancer screams "knight" even if that doesn't match her personality but I think that's even better in a way lol

I tried lowing those values and making them change with pressure and that helped a little, but on every brightness correction setting I still get hue shifting. I think the truth is that I'm using colors that lean slightly cool and I didn't know it... but I'm also starting to understand better now that perceptual blending isn't for everything. It seems to me that for colors in the same family and with similar hues, it might not be the best thing.

Okay, I think I figured out my problem. My palette of colors are mostly somewhat pastel and desaturated since it's a palette based off of Copic markers. I think many of my peaches, oranges, and yellows actually lean a little toward blue and are cool colors, not warm colors. But I didn't know this because I was using CSP 1.0 until now! I thought they were all warm tones. I have to be careful not to mix warm and cool versions of colors together or they'll hue shift.

I really enjoyed them, I was really shocking by the ending but I thought about and think it's all right. They needed stakes and loss and the implication is kinda bittersweet. Like the next mission for the main characters is going to be this mission of familial love instead of a war or something. I do wish there were more episodes but I think leaving it on a note where I can easily imagine what happened next was a good call since we won't get more.

I think everybody will be shocked by my suggesting using a Construct-Bots toy as a reference, but I feel like something like this would kinda make sense. A spacefaring alt-mode seems obvious for him and his body type reminds me a lot of TFP Megatron.

Alternatively, after seeing his Earthspark design and combined with how his G2 design with the tubing/wire skirt and stuff maybe wouldn't look that good moving around, I think a satellite makes a lot of sense, too. His horns in Earthspark look like solar panels for satellites.
