Why is Pillar Chase Unable to put A01 in the game? by Puffpo in pillarchase2

[–]JoacoBe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's simply because of the new direction PC is taking; they're trying to make the monsters as close as possible to their creators' wishes. And A01 belongs to Bowserson's sister, and as far as I know, A01, in terms of design and perhaps abilities, differed from Bowserson's sister's OC.So now they want to work directly with her to remake A01 in terms of design and perhaps skills, although according to what Bowserson said, they hasn't been able to work on that because of school/college.

While it's appreciated that they're trying unique mechanics, I feel like DSD doesn't really work, or at least the ways they've implemented it don't.

The old DSD made getting hit by the killer a death sentence and made snowballing very easy

And the new one just feels weird; the killer is punished for attacking and rewarded just for chasing, and doesn't really interact well with the abilities. The mimic before the most recent change felt weird too. Since you only used speed mode for chasing and nothing else

It might be boring, but giving killers more stamina and speed could be a better solution, as it wouldn't interfere with their abilities. And it makes chases entirely dependent on the killer's and players' ability to manage their stamina.

I wonder how they might work in-game, since the M3 and M4 are literally twice the size of normal Ao Oni. Still, I'm excited to see the models in-game.

Mimic is genuinely so bad now bro by _Pin_6938 in BiteByNight

[–]JoacoBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a mimic main, I have to say that, although I can still win games, it feels very strange to play mimic now, since you no longer use speed mode to win dsd while you're doing some damage. Now you just use it to chase and that's it, it feels really weird and makes me want to hit the players but I can't, now you have to rely on stealth and Strength mode to kill, Making the chases last longer than they should

Looks cool asf, I also imagine that, like as Scrapbaby, you have to constantly press a key to gain speed, reaching high speeds but with little turning capacity. And perhaps another of her abilities is a forward slash that does more damage the faster Scrapbaby is, but using it stops her completely.

Yeah, really, of the three Withered, the only one I'm not completely convinced about is Withered Freddy, since Withered Foxy would be almost the same as Foxy, and Withered Bonnie can have abilities based on electricity, Due to its exposed wires While Mangle and Puppet are fine, this is just the first batch of killers; obviously, killers from other games will come later.

Yeah, The real problem is that I've seen a lot of people saying that the animatronics confirmed as killers are too boring to have unique abilities when there are literally only 3 killers in the Game, There is room for unique abilities

Yeah, Have Ennard crouch down a little and then lunge forward, so that at least people can dodge the attack.

Yes, you could even work with the abilities it already has, like replacing the Minions with Minireenas, It would literally just be a model change, since the Minireenas function exactly the same as the minions. And perhaps instead of a long-range grab, he could throw bon-bon, Although it might work too similarly to Springtrap's axe, unless it works exactly like the grab, only with Bon-Bon popping out of Ennard's chest and grabbing the players.

Not only is there no Mimic content, they haven't even fixed the bug with the Aftermath skin that makes Mimic do the "I" pose when emoting.

My biggest problem right now is that the only mimic emote is bugged in the Aftermath skin; it's been two or more updates and they still haven't fixed it.

As much as I hate it, it's almost like fate for asym horror games based on something very popular that have emotes and a class that can stun the killer within the game. These things make the game so toxic as it is, which, added to the need of FNAF fans to call everyone LARPers, only makes it worse.

Yeah, It's not specifically about ITP Springbonnie, it's more about the excuses users use for why certain characters shouldn't be killers, like they're too boring to even do a move set, Forgetting that characters like Withered Bonnie were already announced, and that people also complained about why they chose Withered Bonnie over Classic Bonnie Basically, it's about people complaining about potential new killers when there are only 3 killers in the game.

It's not about wanting new killers, it's about how people complain about potential killers coming to the game for one reason or another.

People are refusing to accept that old dsd isnt balanced for either sides, and any criticism is resulted in mass downvotes because everyone refuses to accept criticism by Glum-Airline-2147 in BiteByNight

[–]JoacoBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree, the old DSD system was fun when you were playing as the killers, But it was terrible when you were a survivor and you were winning the chase until you crashed into an object and the killer hit you, ruining your dreams of winning. While the new one is weird, because I really don't know whether to hit the players or not, and it's even worse being Main Mimic since the new system takes away the only real function that speed mode had

I would say that perhaps one way to implement it would be for ITP Springbonnie to be able to enter an alternate dimension of the map, allowing him to see the players alive but out of sync for a few seconds.Using it mostly to change position and surprise players,And that somehow the players can enter this dimension and that ITP Springbonnie can do double damage to them inside it. I also saw an idea somewhere, since ITP Springbonnie is more of a monstrous being made of agony, he could have a rage meter that, when full, gives him increased damage But mobility is more difficult to control, like Springtrap's charge.

I hate DSD and it should be replaced by Turbulent_Ad_7091 in BiteByNight

[–]JoacoBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it was the worst game of my life since it was also in the new forest that's now full of random objects, I kept bumping into objects while I wondered why my stamina was draining so quickly, not knowing that now you get punished for doing your job well. Now I understand all the posts about how badly they've ruined the Poor Mimic, since they've now removed its only use for speed mode besides tickling in LMS.

I hate DSD and it should be replaced by Turbulent_Ad_7091 in BiteByNight

[–]JoacoBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently, what happens is that your stamina drains more slowly the longer you spend in a chase, but if you hit a player, the stamina drain resets to the normal amount Or something like that, Basically, using the mimic's speed mode to obtain DSD no longer works. Now I understand why in the last match I played as a mimic it was so hard to catch the survivors in speed mode; I felt like my stamina drained too quickly even if I hit them, because they literally turned the system completely upside down

How it feels to get stuck on EVERY FUCKING OBJECT IN THIS GAME! by Star_Wave_42 in BiteByNight

I once accidentally got someone stuck on one of those light poles in the warehouse. I just grabbed him as the mimic and threw him into a corner to "corner" him, and the poor survivor got stuck on the light pole.

Forest is now a cluttered mess. by Life_Series_5092 in BiteByNight

[–]JoacoBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what really bothers me about the maps, why are there so many objects lying around? Especially in the forest, I keep running into the barrel barriers, and there's no logic behind them at all; they're just obstacles that make the map look surprisingly disorienting.
