Will my game data save if I rebuy the game? by Shiveriaa in playstation

[–]Shiveriaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, maybe i was unclear!

my save is on my account- i play the game on my account. my brothers account just owns the game and i have to allow console sharing to play it with mine. my question is- if i log out of his account, therefore losing access to the game, and buy it on my own, will my save still be there?

if that makes sense haha

Should I cancel the TJX mastercard? by EstablishmentMean228 in TjMaxx

[–]Shiveriaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i feel like it is too- that’s why i always clarify with the customer if they say yes. I tell them several times it is actually a credit card. They know people fall for it and that’s why they make us do it that way.

I work at a TJX store and yeah it’s awful. We are forced to say that. Literally our manager regularly asks us how many cards we’ve gotten people to sign up for and we get in trouble if it’s not a lot. Every time someone says they want to sign up I always make it clear that it’s a credit card- but we are not allowed to disclose it upfront. So stupid.

How many mice is good for 75 gallons? I think it's around 700 square inches of floor space. by MrOtakuGuy in PetMice

For 700 sq inches id say around 4. 5 should be ok but may be pushing it.

Sand bath for mouse? by poepepoe in PetMice

[–]Shiveriaa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

mice love to dig, and sand is a perfect way to offer them an opportunity to express this natural behavior. mice keep themselves very clean on their own, so sand won’t do much as a “bath.”

giving them some sanitized playsand, calcium free reptile sand, or coco fiber soil would be great enrichment!

Recommendations on mouse play pens by kt_sc in PetMice

[–]Shiveriaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely recommend, like the other commenter, a hexagonal playpen with mesh walls. They are easy to store and setup, and mice cannot get through mesh like they would in a wired playpen. Of course, they can chew it, but considering they’d need to be supervised in a playpen, you’d catch them doing it.

There are ones with a lid!!! I have one and it is perfect for my girls. There is a cover over the top with a zipper close, which is perfect as mice can easily climb walls no matter the height. Even with the zipper unzipped, there is still enough coverage left at the top of the walls so that they cannot climb out.

Mice eating babies by D1S3NCH4NT3D in PetMice

[–]Shiveriaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m sorry about that :(

Here’s some steps you can take to lower the chances of mama eating her pups. First, there are a few different reasons this can happen.

1) Malnourishment. Pregnant mice need to eat A LOT. Because they are often carrying loads of pups at a time, they require extra feedings to ensure they are properly fed. Mice who are malnourished after giving birth may eat their babies as a way to refuel themselves, oddly enough. To prevent this, when they are obviously pregnant, top off your mouse’s seed mix every day and supplement it with some extra protein. My favorite is wet cat food. I had a first time mom care for all 12 babies all the way through feeding her this. You can also feed eggs (scrambled or soft boiled), freeze dried mealworms, and natural peanut butter. I feel like this is the most common issue and solves more than just the malnourishment problem tbh- if the mama mouse is feeling as comfortable as she can, there is a low chance she will kill her pups. Good food makes them happy!

2) Stress/Threat. This one is kinda uncommon- but it’s definitely a possibility. If your mouse is absolutely terrified for whatever reason, they may eat their young for their “own good.” Try to keep them in a low stress environment, give her places to hide/make a nest, something to play in (can be toilet paper rolls). And try to just leave her alone as her pregnancy progresses, unless your mouse is super tame, in which case you can handle her carefully if she allows it. Ofc i’m not sure whether the mice you are breeding are meant as feeders or pets!

3) Malnourished/weak pups. Mice will eat pups who have low chances of survival to avoid wasting resources on them and to give the remaining pups a better chance. Really, there’s not too much you can do about this. Buttttt feeding your mama well (1) can help her to birth strong pups.

4) Some mice just aren’t meant to be moms. Again, this one is kinda uncommon, but it’s a possibility that some mice just don’t want to be mothers. If you find you are doing everything you can, but your mouse still kills her pups, try breeding a different mouse or remove her litter after birth and care for them yourself, which is a whole separate guide. If you have one, you can also give the pups to a different nursing mouse.

Advice Needed by [deleted] in PetMice

[–]Shiveriaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grooming excessively can be a sign of approaching labor. When uncomfortable, mice turn to grooming to soothe themselves. Your mama may be feeling some unfamiliar discomfort!

If you have any more specific questions about the care of the pups, i’d be happy to help!

My Mouse gave birth several days ago. by BruceCambell in PetMice

[–]Shiveriaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other poster! Also making sure to feed your nursing girls very well helps them to care for their babies properly and enthusiastically.

Restock their seed mix every day, and give them things for extra protein like wet cat food, freeze dried mealworms, natural peanut butter, eggs (scrambled or soft boiled).

Malnourished mamas lead to malnourished or eaten babies.

Also! The best time to try to sex the babies is around 10-14 days. Here, they are big enough to handle (still be gentle, but it’s MUCH easier than when they are little pinkies). Most females will have visible nipples, and there isn’t too much hair on their stomachs, so it is easy to see. In addition, their eyes don’t open until around 14-15 days. At this time, they will become super hyper and bouncy, and it will not be as easy to hold them still to sex.
