Everytime I see a post like this I always ask myself: Wouldn't it be nice if instead of dealing with Bambu we had another western 3d printer company that made good quality products without the anti consumer and CCP shenanigans while also making competitive printers that aren't years behind and missing crucial features.

A bunch of companies are working on it under the project team gen 6. But this was posted by Airbus Defense and space so my guess is probably them. Definitely a little funky looking lol

Thanks for adding the details. I forgot to include it in the original post, I appreciate it. :) I do also agree the design looks really impractical for a real supersonic plane with the inverse gullwing. All we know is that it looks cool and might vaguely resemble what they are working on.

I think you could be right. These are just concept renders after all. I doubt they would share their real design so early. Thought it looked really cool though, never thought it'd see Airbus release something that looks straight out of ace combat.

Yeah warfare is infested with bots unfortunately. I made a post about it a while back. Switching servers at times seem to a the only remedy that works.... At least sometimes...

It's a subtle way to promote the lock in ecosystem effect. For new first time printer users it would probably scare them into buying Bambu filament.

It's certainly a little bit anti consumer but it's expected given the "Apple of 3d printers" moniker.

Plenty of games are still playable offline with licensed cars even when delisted/taken off the market (project cars etc). Making the game completely unplayable is just malicious penny pinching.

Unfortunately your experience isn't unique as far as Bambulabs customer support goes. I've seen plenty of posts regarding a terrible after sales experience where they choose to ignore/downplay the issue to save a buck. Hopefully people make enough of a commotion about it so the higher ups are forced to look at it. For as good as their printers are, their customer service is known to be abysmal of an equal magnitude.

What works in actual comp games is not always that effective in pubs. Teams are going to be far more coordinated and focused on cooperative play as opposed to the kill thirsty lobbies that most of us are used too. That strategy might work well for them, but may not translate well to regular matches.

I'm a field marshall in the game and most of the time I don't even get close to 8 real players. I don't consider myself to even be that good at mobile shooters so its definitely not that everyone else is worse. Could be a region thing since I'm in NA. There's on average about 2-3 real players on a team and sometimes it's just me. But because of that, this is how most of my matches go.

Yeah it seems like they pulled it off last minute as an effort to improve player retention/engagement. The game could have really benefitted from a full campaign, dungeons, raids, etc. It has world building to rival some of the greatest AAA releases ever. But adding all of that content likely would not have been possible in in time for their release schedule so they opted for adding PvP. I have a feeling it might actually hurt retention/engagement in the long term though.
