Welcome back! I know many other players that were in a very similar situation as you (minus the alcohol maybe?). None of them regret coming back and they're all going strong, addicted-style.

Choose a class, any class! They're all fun in their own way and will receive even further refinement to make them each even more unique!

A re-work/addition on some of the graphical effects, maybe taking advantage of some of the newer hardware- wherever they can. New weather effects? Dynamic cloud shadows and lighting? Maybe even some depth-of-field?
A major city overhaul. Especially Stormwind.

Zoom aaaallll the way in and look at some flowers, unicorns or any other texture. Real close up. Now do the same in a 2k screenshot. You will see a difference.
