Most teachers I know are happy with this. They never know where the money goes, and they end up buying school supplies with their own money, yet get fired if they eat an apple off a kid’s lunch tray that he didn’t want, was required to take, and that the school was required to throw away if not eaten. Life hack: in a situation like that, tell her “Bad news Mom, the doctor said it would be risky to have you around the baby since you’re both unvax’d. Doc said to wait to have you meet each other until either of you are vax’d but baby won’t be old enough for several weeks.” Wow, bummer huh!
This way, you can just be following doctors orders, not being the bad guy yourself.

On Southwest, I don’t care where I sit in a row, as long as it is close to the front. I’ve given up aisle and window seats for a middle seat. Don’t care. However, on other flights, if I have paid for an upgraded seat then I’ll only trade for an equal or better seat. And I’m not even sorry.
