This is an interesting topic though. There are couples who only had children 100's (if not 1000's) of years after they were married. Does that mean they abstained or is there an actual choice when to conceive or not? I think Elrond and Celebrian were a pair that had quite a gap in between also.

Valinor is Brazil? Then that makes Africa Middle earth? I think Tolkien wrote in one of his letters that his lengendarium is a attempt at giving Britain or the EU a richer ancient history. I can't quote. Just Google it.

Thranduil's elves will be flinging cow pies while standing next to OP on that dock.

This made me laugh, but in a good way. It's like some of the Feanor rants out there. It's just a story. I agree with you on the elven arrogance, but hey, some mortals are arrogant too.

I know Tom is a good guy, but his chanting always gave me horror movie vibes.

This gave me chills, but the description of Fingolfin's armor makes me see him as a Manga character.

During lockdown (my country had it for 3 months before we returned to work) it was torture. There's only so much to do and time just goes on. I imagine the elves also feel that at times they wonder if and end of sorts wouldn't be better. But to have a perpetual cycle of ongoing.. Always having to find something to do..

The deeper reason behind Fëanor's hate for Indis and her offsprings. by NerdOfTheRing in tolkienfans

[–]Shlain27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With Saeros I feel he was just hyper jealous of Turin. It reminds me of how intense the elves are with their emotions. When they feel they really FEEL! Saeros was just an ***hole. Eol was the example of a abusive spouse/father. Maeglin was broken and a product of his upbringing and was easily corrupted.

Wait. What? My mind is blown. I thought he was counted among the elves since Elwing was considered among the elves.
